He is known as a calligrapher
Zhang Danfei. Mr. Chen Zhenlian wrote at the beginning of his book "Calligraphy Aesthetic Education": "The prosperity of calligraphy like today has never been seen since ancient times. Among them, there are as many as 15,000 members of the National Calligraphers Association, which occupies the first place among various art associations, and only the number of photographers associations can be matched. And every time the national calligraphy and seal carving exhibition, the number of calligraphy submissions is more than tens of thousands, which is staggering, especially the just held '12th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition' has reached a new high, and the number of calligraphy submissions has reached more than 50,000 pieces....... It can be seen that these tens of thousands of people must think that they have reached the high-end level of the national level and can compete with the masters across the country, such 'self-confidence' is extremely rare in other associations. I also heard an old painter jokingly say: "At present, there are two kinds of practitioners in all walks of life who are the most confident." One is a doctor, especially a doctor in a small private clinic, who can't treat a diseaseThe other is engaged in calligraphy and painting, and when he opens his mouth, he can't write well, and that one paints dogs. "In calligraphy and painting exhibitions, it is common for some people who write very poorly to distribute folding pages and albums everywhere. The introduction reads: President of the World Calligraphers Association, President of the International Academy of Calligraphy, How many generations of calligraphy masters have been passed down from generation to generation** and since childhood, all five bodies are capable and self-contained. There are also the first people named after themselves in Kai, Li or contemporary cursive and seal scripts, etc., which are terrifyingly big. It seems that Wang Xizhi is reincarnated and Huaisu is reborn.
Nowadays, some financial experts and film and television stars have also stepped into the calligraphy circle in a fashionable way, and theoretically speaking, most of these people have not even stepped into the threshold of calligraphy. If you study calligraphy in addition to engaging in the main business to improve your own artistic accomplishment, but at the moment when capital willfulness and flow are king, these people rely on the influence of their "real industry" to hold exhibitions, expose words and auctions everywhere, and openly display them to the society, which causes social problems. Because art needs to be respected and protected, the "calligraphy works" of these people pollute the ecological environment of public culture and art. So why are they so confident? The fundamental reason for this is ignorance and fearlessness, and the lack of proper self-knowledge and reverence for the art of calligraphy.
A person with a karaoke level of singing will never dare and will never be able to appear on the stage of a national concert;A person who has only played passers-by A and B will not call himself or he will call himself a film and television performance artist. It is more appropriate for some people who have participated in TV singing and dancing programs such as "Youth Song Competition" and "The Voice" to call themselves or he to be singers and dancers. Most of those engaged in film and television performances call themselves or he calls themselves actors and artists. Even if Hong Kong's "Four Heavenly Kings" are red and purple, they are just called singers and movie stars. The non-professional personnel in the Writers' Association, the Music Association, and the Dance Association generally know that they have a few pounds and taels, and they may occasionally play with tickets, but they dare not easily publish books and perform on stage. But once a person who has not been in the writing level for a few days with a brush is promoted to the leader of the calligraphy association, he will immediately become a famous calligrapher, and he will dare to inscribe, exhibit and sell words everywhere as a famous calligrapher. The work can be included in the documentary yearbook and various public publications. What's even more black humorous is that the "calligraphy works" of the writing-level leaders who have worked in the China Calligraphy Association have actually traveled on board the Shenzhou 7 spacecraft, which is simply a cow!
Society is also very tolerant of calligraphers, and probably no one would call a person who dances aerobics and square dance every day a dancer, and they themselves don't seem to want to be a dancer. But for a person who has just held a brush and has not practiced calligraphy for a few days, even if he is embarrassed to call himself a calligrapher, others will take the initiative to enthusiastically give a "calligrapher" hat. I know that this hat is big, but many people accept it complacently. According to the unwritten rules, the members of the Chinese Calligraphy Association are called national calligraphers, and there are also provincial and municipal calligraphers. I do have the experience of learning calligraphy for a year and a half and participating in the "National Exhibition" for the first time. According to the Constitution of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, one or two exhibitions in a single exhibition can join the Chinese Calligraphers Association and become a "national calligrapher". Isn't it a little too good to be a calligrapher? This is also the reason why the China Calligraphy Association was established more than 30 years later than the China Writers Association, the China Artists Association and other art groups, but the number of members can dominate.
Calligraphy is not a skilled trade, it is a "comprehensive art". As the saying goes: first the text and then the ink, the first knowledge and then the literature. The scholarly cultivation of calligraphers directly affects the individual spiritual temperament of calligraphers, thus changing the aesthetic pattern of calligraphers. To become a calligrapher, you must not only master professional skills, but also have a certain level of cultural accomplishment. The so-called cultural accomplishment does not simply refer to how many books have been read and how many ancient poems can be recited, nor does it refer to academic titles such as doctorate and master's degrees. Isn't there a postdoctoral fellow from a famous university majoring in literature, history and calligraphy who is still like "Sun Jiashi"?The reason why Wang Xizhi's "Orchid Pavilion Preface", Yan Zhenqing's "Manuscript of the Sacrifice of Nephews", and Su Shi's "Cold Food Post" can become classics in the history of Chinese calligraphy is not only profound. These works directly and implicitly convey the calligrapher's world view, outlook on life, academic background, open-mindedness and other spiritual temperament, as well as artistic pursuit and aesthetic tendency. So that the work has a "story" and a soul. As Sun Guoting said: "Reach its emotionality, form its sorrow." And some of the current exhibition hall books, although there are many huge works, excellent paper and ink, various forms, and meticulously carved, but most of them are "creative works" that are worried about the new poems. Lacking the cultural color, texture and depth of calligraphy art, and lacking the deep humanistic spiritual strength, some can only be pleasing to the eye but difficult to appreciate.
The real touching thing about Chinese calligraphy is the spiritual character and moral feelings. Therefore, the identity of a calligrapher is not only an honor, but also a spirit of responsibility, a sense of responsibility and the power of example. But once the current people who study books win awards and enter the exhibition, most of them regard themselves as "home", and they really take themselves seriously, but they don't know that Sun Wukong is still a somersault cloud away from "home". Wu Xiaoru, a historian, poet and professor at Peking University, said: "Everyone is a calligrapher now, and I don't recognize myself as a calligrapher. Only those who have played a certain role in the history of calligraphy can be called calligraphers, and I am a teacher. "A real martial arts master never shows off his skills, and a real calligrapher does not claim to be a "home". As Mr. Lu Weizhao said: "If you want me to be a calligrapher from the beginning, this one will be very small, very small, and the last one!."”
