Huang Botao, an old hero, has received countless honors and medals in his military career, but when he retired, he was only a battalion-level cadre. His military experience was full of tests of blood and fire, and his 17 meritorious achievements made him a well-known lone hero in the whole army. Xi martial arts since childhood, he has laid a solid foundation in martial arts since he was a child. Huang Botao was born in a peasant family in Nangong, Hebei Province, and his father was a revolutionary aspirant, but he was betrayed by a traitor and killed by the Japanese puppet. Influenced by his father, he decided to join the army and serve the country.
In 1947, he got his wish and joined the People's Liberation Army and became a recruit in a battalion and company of a regiment of the East China Field Army. Because of his prowess in martial arts, he quickly rose to prominence in the army. In the War of Liberation, he made many military exploits. In November 1948, the Huaihai Campaign began, and Huang Botao's corps deployed a whole division of troops at the railway bridgehead of the Longhai Line. In order to protect the iron bridge of the canal from being damaged by the enemy and ensure the smooth passage of a large number of troops of our army, his superiors ordered his battalion to march more than 130 miles and take the iron bridge of the canal at all costs.
The whole battalion, despite hunger and fatigue, rushed to the bridgehead as fast as possible, and the troops immediately went into battle. The enemy set up 60 mortar positions and heavy machine gun fire nets on the opposite side, and the battle was very fierce, and it was not captured until dark. At this time, the company commander ordered his 7th squad to make a detour from the left side, and the 7th squad rushed forward in the night, and soon a fierce battle with the enemy began.
At this time, he had already eliminated 7 enemies, and suddenly found that an enemy was preparing to assassinate the squad leader, he shouted, and an arrow stepped forward, and a knife hit the enemy in the back of the heart, thus saving the squad leader's life. At dawn, the battle continued, and only the squad leader and 4 fighters remained in the 7 squad. Enemy machine-gun fire continued, and the situation was critical. The squad leader decided to take action, he adjusted his bayonet, waited for the moment when the enemy reloaded, decisively jumped over, and kicked the enemy machine gunner to the ground with one kick. The enemy was shocked and finally raised his hands in surrender.
After the battle, the captive still muttered from time to time, "The PLA is really not afraid of death." In this battle, the squad leader was awarded a first-class meritorious service for his heroic performance. In the third stage of the Huaihai Campaign, the 1st Battalion suffered heavy losses in the battle of Wei Laoyao. The enemy's sub-mother bunker pressed the whole battalion in an open area, and eight demolition teams were sent one after another, all of which failed, and more than a dozen fighters **. At this time, the squad leader and 3 comrades launched the ninth blasting. In the moment of rushing out, one member of the team was killed, and the other was seriously injured.
The squad leader braved the enemy's firepower, crawled forward, successfully dodged the enemy's fire net, threw the grenade into the pillbox, detonated the huge **, and annihilated all the enemies. This battle opened the way for the first battalion to advance, and the whole battalion successfully rushed into the enemy's command post and captured the enemy commander alive. The squad leader was once again awarded a first-class meritorious service for his heroic deeds and joined the party in the firing line. On the Korean battlefield, he was brave and fearless in the War of Liberation, and almost made countless meritorious achievements. Before entering the Korean War, he was already a king of a hundred soldiers. After coming to North Korea, he ushered in the peak moment of his life.
In March 1951, his seventh squad engaged in a life-and-death struggle with the U.S. Army at Heights 212. The U.S. military dispatched several tanks, under the cover of aircraft artillery, to constantly attack the positions of the 7th squad. Qin Jianbin was a brave soldier of the Chinese Volunteers. On the battlefield, he showed admirable tenacity and courage. In a particularly fierce battle, he fought the enemy alone, and eventually managed to repel several enemy attacks. By the time the battle continued to the later stages, 6 of the 13 comrades in the class were killed, and the other 6 were seriously wounded and could no longer participate in the battle.
In such a difficult situation, Qin Jianbin became the only one who could persist in fighting. The enemy continued to attack, but he was undaunted and resolutely stepped forward. Armed with a machine gun, he jumped out of the trench and fired fiercely at the rushing enemy, and for a time a large number of enemies fell. Even in the face of more than 20 tall American soldiers, he did not flinch at all, and he was not afraid. They tried to capture him, but undaunted, he stepped forward, brandished his bayonet and rushed to the enemy alone.
His figure was surrounded by enemies, but he showed extraordinary martial arts, stabbing left and right with a bayonet, knocking several enemies to the ground in just a few blows. He was covered in blood, like the god of war descending on the earth, and to him, these American troops were nothing more than ants. He terrified his enemies with a crowd of enemies. However, as more U.S. troops rushed forward, he was no longer able to do anything. Caught in the middle of the crowd, he finally had to turn around and hide in the trench, and when he jumped out again, he was already holding a smoky blaster in his hand.
Frightened by his fearlessness, the enemy turned and fled, seizing the opportunity to throw the blaster at the enemy crowd and hiding in bunker himself. After a loud bang, most of the enemy troops were killed, and the remaining few fled in panic. He alone repelled enemy attacks several times, and did not withdraw from the battlefield until reinforcements arrived. In this battle, he eliminated countless enemy troops and single-handedly repelled many enemy attacks. After the war, the headquarters awarded him a special meritorious service. Qin Jianbin is a first-class combat hero of the Chinese Volunteers, and his heroic deeds will always inspire us.
This old hero was promoted many times by the organization after the war because of his outstanding military exploits, but he politely declined each time, hoping to stay in the army until retirement. Even after 35 years of military service, he still retains the status of a battalion cadre. When the Order's offer to elevate him again so that he could live a life of dry rest, the old hero once again resolutely refused. "Participating in the revolution was never about getting special treatment," he said. Compared with my comrades-in-arms who sacrificed their lives for the country, I am in a good situation now. Please don't cause trouble for the country.
Let us pay the highest tribute to this old hero.
