The 16th National College Student Innovation Annual Conference is supported by the Ministry of Education, hosted by the National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program Expert Group, and hosted by Hainan University. With the theme of "Riding on the Momentum and Changing the Day", the conference focused on presenting the outstanding innovation achievements of the participating college students through innovative academic exchanges, innovation and entrepreneurship project reform achievements display and entrepreneurship promotion project exchanges. Among the 3 projects awarded by our school, 1 was awarded"Outstanding Academic **" award, and the two reform achievement projects were obtained at the same time"My Favorite Project" awardwith"Best Creative Project" award。Professor Chen Gang of the School of Energy and Power Engineering of our university participated in the annual meeting as an expert of the "National Innovation Plan".

The National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference is an important annual exhibition and exchange activity initiated by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the expert group of the "National Innovation Plan", and relying on the national college student innovation and entrepreneurship training program. This year's annual meeting received a total of 833 projects recommended by universities and local education authorities. After the preliminary evaluation of experts and the re-selection of the expert working group of the "National Innovation Plan", a total of 510 achievements were selected for the annual meeting, including 200 academic articles, 250 innovation and entrepreneurship project reform achievements, and 60 entrepreneurship promotion projects. After fierce competition, voting by participating teachers and students, and strict selection by the expert working group, 20 "Excellent Academic Articles", 21 "My Favorite Projects", 22 "Best Creative Projects", 12 "Best Entrepreneurship Projects", 15 "Excellent Organization Awards" and 1 "Special Contribution Award" were selected at the annual meeting.
For a long time, our school has always implemented the fundamental task of cultivating people with virtue, firmly established the central position of talent training, continuously optimized the innovation and entrepreneurship education ecosystem, improved the curriculum setting, improved teaching methods, strengthened the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, focused on cultivating students' innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship ability, and focused on cultivating top-notch innovative talents and outstanding talents, and comprehensively improved the comprehensive quality of students, innovation and entrepreneurship practice ability and the quality of independent talent training. In 2006, as one of the first ten pilot faculties in the country, the school was the first to participate in the National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, and after 18 years of continuous exploration and improvement, it has formed a national, provincial, school-level, and college-level (department) level four-level innovation plan management model driven by national projects.
