Recently, many colleagues have been talking about a question, why are there so many fevers and coughs this year, and most of them are children?Of course, there are a lot of adults. We have gone through three years of the epidemic and won the new crown, but we made a mistake, that is, we did not regulate the body in time and improve the function of the lungs.
The lungs are delicate and moisturizing. Moreover, the lungs are canopy, and if the body feels evil qi, the lungs will bear the brunt.
In addition, this year's climate is a bit abnormal, Guangdong can still wear short sleeves, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, there is little rain in winter, and the climate is dry. All kinds of reasons are mixed up, and the problem comes.
Cough is the most common symptom of a cold, and Chinese and Western medicine have different understandings of it. Western medicine is nothing more than a viral or bacterial infection. But traditional Chinese medicine is different, "The Yellow Emperor's Neijing" says: The five internal organs and six internal organs are all coughing. In traditional Chinese medicine, cough is not only a lung problem, but also a detailed classification of cough and different medications. Today we will talk about how to distinguish various coughs in traditional Chinese medicine.
Cough is roughly divided into the following in traditional Chinese medicine:Wind and heat attack the lungs, wind and cold attack the lungs, dryness and evil attack the lungs, lung heat is blazing, phlegm and heat suppress the lungs, cold phlegm obstructs the lungs, lung yin deficiency, lung qi deficiency.
OneWind and heat offend the lungs
It refers to the wind-heat evil qi that invades the lungs, which is the same truth that everyone usually hears about wind-heat colds. The main manifestations are nasal congestion, thick nasal discharge, cough with yellow phlegm, fever, thirst, or sore throat, red tongue, and thin yellow lichen.
IIWind chill offends the lungs
This is the opposite of wind and heat in the lungs, which refers to the invasion of the lungs by external evils of wind and cold, which is often heard of wind chill and cold. The main manifestations are nasal congestion, runny nose, cough with thin sputum, fear of cold and fever, itchy throat, or body pain, no sweating, and thin white tongue.
3. Lung syndrome of dry evil offenders
It refers to the invasion of the lungs by external dryness, and the fluid consumption of the lungs, also known as lung dryness. According to the cold and heat, there are warm and dry, cool and dry. It is manifested as dry cough with little phlegm, or sticky sputum, severe chest pain, blood in sputum, dry mouth, lips, nose and throat, or epistaxis, hemoptysis, dry stool, less urine, thin and dry lichen, some have fever, and slightly bad wind chill. Cool and dry, no sweat, pulse puffy and tight; If it is warm and dry, it will sweat less, and the pulse will float.
This is the same as the lung yin deficiency syndrome, which is mainly characterized by dry cough or less phlegm, but this syndrome is an external dry syndrome, with a relatively short course of disease and symptomatic symptomsLung yin deficiency is a syndrome of internal dryness, with a long course of disease, accompanied by the symptoms of deficiency heat of yin deficiency and internal heat.
FourthEvidence of blazing lung fever
It refers to the evidence of the actual heat of the lungs manifested by the evil heat that is contained in the lungs and the lungs are not cleared. Abbreviated as lung heat syndrome or lung fire syndrome. Symptoms include fever, thirst, cough and wheezing, nasal flaring, burning of breath, chest pain, redness, swelling and pain in the throat, short and red urine, constipation, red and yellow tongue, and pulse count.
Both the pulmonary fever pattern and the wind-heat pulmonary syndrome are pulmonary fever syndromes, which are manifested by cough accompanied by heat symptoms, and the pulmonary fever is accompanied by real heat syndrome (such as constipation). Wind-heat offence to the lungs is accompanied by symptoms of surface heat (e.g., fear of wind, nasal congestion, runny nose).

FivePhlegm-fever and pulmonary syndrome
It refers to the combination of phlegm and heat, and the lungs are blocked by the actual heat. It is also called phlegm-heat obstructive lung. It is manifested as cough, yellow and viscous sputum, and a large amount, chest tightness and wheezing, coarse breathing, severe nasal flaring, or phlegm sounds in the throat, irritability, fever and thirst, or coughing up pus, bloody and smelly sputum, constipation, short and yellow urine, red and greasy tongue, and a slippery pulse.
Both the phlegm-heat and lung fever syndrome and the pulmonary fever pattern have cough and lishi heat syndrome, but the phlegm-hot and spine-lung syndrome has the symptoms of phlegm turbidity, while the lung heat does not have so much phlegm.
6. Cold phlegm obstruction syndrome
It refers to the combination of cold evil and phlegm turbidity, which is obstructed in the lungs. It is manifested as cough with a lot of phlegm, viscous sputum, or thin and white, easy to cough up a large amount, chest tightness, or asthma and phlegm, sensitivity to cold, pale tongue, white greasy or white slippery, slow or slippery pulse.
Cold phlegm obstruction of the lungs and wind cold lungs both belong to the cold syndrome of the lungs, both of which are characterized by cough and white and thin phlegm, but the cold phlegm obstructs the lungs as the cold syndrome of cold and phlegm, and the wind and cold lungs are accompanied by wind and cold symptoms (such as chills, nasal congestion, and runny nose).
SevenLung yin deficiency syndrome
It is a lung problem caused by the lack of lung yin and the internal disturbance of hypothermia. It is manifested as dry cough with little phlegm, or less phlegm and viscous, not easy to cough up, dry oropharynx, emaciation, five heart irritations, hot flashes in the afternoon, night sweats, red cheeks, some sputum with blood, hoarseness, red tongue, and thin pulses.
EightLung Qi deficiency syndrome
It refers to the weakening of the lungs. It is manifested as weak cough, thin sputum, weak qi, lack of breath and lazy speech, self-sweating, fear of wind, easy to catch a cold, pale complexion, pale tongue, and weak pulse.
