Where did the National University come from?

The "Minzu University" mentioned in this article is strictly confined to the four words "Minzu University" in the name of the university.

Based on this definition, we can select a total of 12 universities for nationalities, located in Beijing, Liaoning, Ningxia, Gansu, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Hubei and Sichuan, of which Hubei has two "universities for nationalities".

**University of Nationalities

*Minzu University was formerly known as Yan'an University for Nationalities, which was established in 1941. Northern University for Nationalities

The Northern University for Nationalities, formerly known as the Northwest Second University for Nationalities, was founded in 1984 by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the people of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In 2008, it was renamed Northern University for Nationalities.

Guangxi University for Nationalities

Guangxi University for Nationalities was founded in 1952, formerly known as the Guangxi Branch of ** University for Nationalities, renamed Guangxi Provincial University for Nationalities in 1953, Guangxi University for Nationalities in 1958, and Guangxi University for Nationalities in 2006.

South-Central University for Nationalities

Founded in 1951, South-Central University for Nationalities is one of the earliest ethnic universities established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It was discontinued in 1970, restored and rebuilt in 1980, and renamed South-Central University for Nationalities in 2002.

Yunnan University for Nationalities

Yunnan University for Nationalities was founded in 1951, formerly known as Yunnan University for Nationalities, and is also one of the earliest ethnic institutions of higher learning established in New China, and was renamed Yunnan University for Nationalities in 2003.

Southwest University for Nationalities

Enshi Medical College was founded in 1958 and started undergraduate medical education in 1977. In 1998, Hubei People's Hospital and Enshi Medical College merged. Dalian University for Nationalities

Dalian University for Nationalities began to be established in 1984. In 1997, Dalian University for Nationalities was formally established.
