Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is an important organic chemical raw material and organic solvent with excellent performance, and isopropyl ether (DIPE) is a good solvent for animal, vegetable and mineral oils, which is used as a reference material, solvent and extractant for chromatographic analysis, with high added value. The industrial process of producing isopropanol by propylene-water synthesis will produce a large amount of organic wastewater containing high concentrations of isopropyl ether and isopropanol, which can be separated, which not only reduces environmental pollution but also avoids the loss of high-value products.
The separation process of isopropyl ether and isopropanol mainly adopts extractive distillation, with ethylene glycol as the extractant, and the separation of alcohol ether organic wastewater is good.
Extractive distillation is a common method for separating constantotropic substances, which is based on the principle of separating the systems by adding a component (extractant) with a higher boiling point to increase the relative volatility between key components and destroy the constant-boiling composition. In the process of extractive distillation design, the amount of extractant is a key design variable, which not only affects the operating cost and equipment cost of the extractive distillation column, but also determines the total cost of the extractant column and circulation.
The organic wastewater containing high concentration of isopropyl ether and isopropanol and ethylene glycol extractant are injected into the CWL-M centrifugal extractor in a certain proportion, and the two phases are rapidly mixed and dispersed through the impeller with the help of the rotation of the bowl to complete the mixing and mass transfer process. The mixed liquid enters the bowl under the action of the vortex disk, and under the action of centrifugal force, the two-phase liquid is quickly separated and discharged out of the body through different outlets to complete the two-phase separation process.
In view of the treatment process of high-concentration organic wastewater containing isopropyl ether and isopropanol, by analyzing the influence of the amount of extractant ethylene glycol on the relative volatility of isopropanol, isopropyl ether and water system, the optimal solid-liquid extraction system can not only realize the standard discharge of organic wastewater, but also have great economic benefits.
