Yueyang**Quan**News (correspondent Li Yuxiang).On the morning of December 8, sponsored by the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and undertaken by the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Environmental Protection of the Yueyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the "Collaborative Acid Reduction Method and Technical Training Meeting on Sloping Cultivated Land" was held in Yiren Village, Taolinsi Town, Miluo City. The purpose of this conference is to promote the key technologies of soil acidification prevention and control, and achieve continuous "two increases", that is, to increase grain production and increase farmers' income.

The meeting invited Cao Wanqi, deputy director of Miluo Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Huang Jing, associate researcher of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Zhang Yang, associate researcher of the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to give relevant lectures. The heads of relevant departments of Miluo Agriculture and Rural Bureau, agricultural technology extension personnel of various townships, representatives of Miluo agricultural professional cooperatives, and large grain growers participated.

The meeting was presided over by Wen Jiong, director of the Agricultural and Environmental Protection Institute of Yueyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Ren Xizhu, mayor of Taolinsi Town, delivered a welcome speech. Cao Wanqi, Huang Jing and Zhang Yang respectively gave a detailed explanation on "Promoting Key Technologies to Achieve Sustainable "Two Increases"", "Driving Factors of Red Soil Acidification and Comprehensive Control Technology Model", "Sloping Cultivated Land Acidification Prevention and Control Technology and Its Intelligent Implementation".

In the lecture session, the three experts elaborated on the importance and specific methods of soil acidification control, scientific fertilization, and achieving grain production and efficiency. Their lectures were easy to understand and operable, which sparked heated discussions among the participants, and everyone agreed that the promotion and application of these technologies are of great significance for improving the efficiency of agricultural production.

In the final stage of the meeting, experts, cooperatives, and large grain growers had a warm exchange and discussion on how to prevent and control soil acidification, scientific fertilization, and increase grain production and efficiency, and jointly developed a new direction and new ideas for future agricultural development.
