In December 2023, the Asia-Pacific Association for Artificial Intelligence and the UNESCO Higher Education Innovation Center reached a strategic cooperation to carry out in-depth cooperation in strengthening AI higher education, exploring new systems, new opportunities and challenges of AI higher education, cultivating AI talents and promoting international exchanges. The two sides have continuously strengthened their network with global higher education partners, promoted cooperation on public welfare projects in higher education, carried out AI courses and certifications, and organized international conferences and forums related to AI higher education. The UNESCO Centre for Innovation in Higher Education (Shenzhen, China) was approved by the 38th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on November 13, 2015 in Shenzhen, China, and is the 10th UNESCO Category II educational institution in the world and the first Category II higher education institution established in China. The mission of the UNESCO Centre for Innovation in Higher Education is to unleash the full potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to promote the digital transformation of higher education institutions in Asia and Africa, and to expand opportunities Xi for lifelong learning and quality and equitable education, drawing on the strength of China's vast higher education system and the experience of higher education innovation in the more developed countries in the Asia-Pacific region. 
The Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2021. Academicians of the Asia-Pacific Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAIA) come from MIT, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, California Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Cornell University, Columbia University, University of California, Berkeley, Imperial College London, Technical University of Munich, University of Toronto, University of Sydney, University of Tokyo, National University of Singapore, Tsinghua University and other universities, as well as universities from Microsoft, Google, Apple, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Facebook, Intel, The world's top scientists in AI-related fields from world-renowned high-tech companies such as IBM, Samsung, and Huawei. Through statistical analysis of the data on the official website of the global mainstream artificial intelligence society, it is found that compared with international artificial intelligence organizations at the same level, the number and quality of academicians of the Asia-Pacific Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAIA) are already very leading. 
In 2024, the key tasks of the Asia-Pacific Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAIA) are as follows: 1. Prepare for the 2024 Academic Annual Conference of the Asia-Pacific Association for Artificial Intelligence, which aims to promote in-depth exchanges between international academia and industry, and lead the development trend of basic theories, technical methods, and the combination of industry, education and research in artificial intelligence. The conference plans to invite top international scientists, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars, well-known investors, start-up teams, etc. in the field of artificial intelligence to participate in the conference, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology with various industries, and build an open academic exchange platform combining production, learning, research, application and competition.
