Speaking of Chinese New Year, it is the most important day of the year for us Chinese. Every household is busy cleaning the house, pasting Spring Festival couplets, and hanging lanterns, in order to welcome the arrival of the New Year. My family is no exception, as soon as we enter the wax moon, we start to prepare for the new year.

The twenty-third day of the lunar month is a small year, and on this day, my mother got up early and started to work. There was a "clanging" sound in the kitchen, and in a short time, the fragrant meal was served. The whole family sits around and enjoys this rare moment of reunion. After the meal, Dad took out the newly bought Spring Festival couplets and Fu characters, and we worked together as a family to paste the Spring Festival couplets on the door and the Fu characters upside down on the window, which means "Fu has arrived".

With the Spring Festival approaching, every household is lively. Adults are busy shopping for New Year's goods, while children are excitedly looking forward to wearing new clothes and setting off firecrackers. Our family is no exception, my mother will prepare a lot of delicious food, what melon seeds, candy, dried fruits, everything. And what my brother and I are looking forward to the most is the fireworks that my dad bought.

On Chinese New Year's Eve, our family sat around the TV, watching the Spring Festival Gala and making dumplings. Mom's craftsmanship is really a must, and the dumplings with thin skin and large filling are quickly placed on the table. Not to be outdone, my brother and I helped roll out the skins and make dumplings. Although our dumplings are of different shapes, everyone has a happy smile on their faces.

When the New Year's bell rings, the whole family goes outside the house to set off fireworks. The brilliant fireworks bloomed in the air, as if sending the most beautiful blessings for the new year. And our family tradition is that after the fireworks, the whole family goes to the kitchen together to cook dumplings. The steaming dumplings were served, and the family sat around and chatted and laughed while enjoying the food, which was really warm and lively.

After eating the dumplings, my father would take me to pay New Year's greetings to my elders. Although there are more and more ways to pay New Year's greetings, I still feel that it is more meaningful to visit the New Year in person. In the process of greeting the elders, I can not only feel the strong family affection and the warmth of home, but also learn a lot of principles of life and traditional cultural knowledge.

In addition to New Year's greetings, we will also participate in some community activities, such as dragon and lion dances, writing Spring Festival couplets, etc. I remember one time, my dad and I participated in a dragon and lion dance performance in the community. Although our performance was not very professional, the lively and festive atmosphere was really fun.

After the Chinese New Year, it's time to visit relatives and friends. We would visit relatives and friends, chat, eat, play cards and enjoy this rare moment of reunion. In this process, I can not only connect with relatives and friends, but also feel the strong human touch and the warmth of home.

That's how my family celebrates New Year's Day. Although the pace of life is getting faster and faster, our family has always maintained these traditional customs. Because for us, the Chinese New Year is not only a festival, but also a time of reunion, warmth and excitement. I hope everyone can spend a happy, happy and warm New Year with their families in the new year!
