Some time ago, the author wrote the article "Four Types of Principals Disgusted by Front-line Teachers, Worth Pondering", which resonated with many colleagues, and expressed their opinions in the background, which also gave the author a lot of inspiration, and supplemented it on the basis of the original text.
05. I just want to get honors, I don't want to take responsibility
A good principal is a good school, and a good principal can lead the healthy development of the school. Vice versa, when a school goes downhill or the quality of teaching declines, it is likely to be related to the school leadership, but it is often the front-line teachers who take the blame and never reflect on their own management problems.
Some school principals only think about their own honors, compete for honor and interests, and keep their achievements for themselves, and never want to leave a little for other teachers. However, in the face of troubles and work mistakes, some school principals and leaders not only dare not take their own responsibilities, but instead push the responsibility to ordinary teachers, let ordinary teachers take the blame, and hide far away, for fear that they will be a little bit involved and affect their future.
Even if the principal is authorized, he does not dare to let go of his hands and feet to work boldly, for fear of taking on responsibilities that should not be borne by himself, and he does not dare to engage in any teaching innovation. Therefore, we can only go around in circles within the established scope, and the school atmosphere will become more and more conservative, and the future of development will be worrying.
06. Nepotism and unfair handling of things
Education is naturally dedicated and altruistic, and the requirements for the principal's ethics should undoubtedly have a higher moral level than that of general industry leaders, which means that the school principal must have a public heart and always focus on the long-term development of the school.
However, some school principals disregard their own mission and responsibilities, and in order to establish their own authority, cronyism, build their own "small groups", form factions, and turn the school into their own "one-word hall".Or in the distribution of school honors and the promotion of professional titles, etc., it is not open and transparent, there is favoritism and malpractice, and it is not determined according to work performance and teaching ability, but only according to the amount of intimacy or gifts given to oneself, which makes the school a miasma.
Nepotism, unfair handling, destroys the harmonious atmosphere of the school, but also hurts a lot of teachers who want to do the heart of the teacher, over time, the enthusiasm of the school teacher disappears, anyway, no matter how to do it will not be gained, to be a monk for a day to hit the clock, the development of the school will inevitably be sluggish, affecting the vital interests of students and teachers in a school. 07. I like political performance projects but don't do practical thingsTen years of trees, a hundred years of people, education development has its own laws, spring breeze and rain, imperceptible, nature needs a certain amount of freedom and space. Therefore, there is no time for basic education, only its form, not its soul, after all, it is only superficial. It is a pity that the principals of some schools are obsessed with engaging in performance projects and superficial work, which are flashy but easy to make achievements, so that they can go further in their careers. One will hold a reading exchange meeting, one will hold a school open day, one will engage in a certain teaching model, and pursue the superficial scenery and liveliness, regardless of whether these activities are meaningful or not, and regardless of the true wishes of the teachers and students of the school, it is enough to just take pictures and send news, and let the outside world know about school activities.
All the activities seem to be in full swing, but they seriously delay the teaching time, and there is little benefit to the teachers and students of the school, but the school atmosphere and school performance created are considerable.
08. Be autocratic and have the final say in everythingAs the soul of the school, the principal needs to take on more responsibilities as a helmsman, and his main task is to lead the development of the school, rather than control all the power of the school, and have the final say in everything. In reality, some school principals always think that if they are not firmly in power, they will lose the principal's command and leadership power, and the team will lose their executive power, so they will naturally focus on holding power and using power to consolidate their "boss" status. Paying too much attention to power, only having the final say in everything, rarely or even not acting in accordance with rules and regulations, not considering the interests of others at all, and only caring about their own feelings and interests. It seems to be high, but it is difficult to obtain the recognition of the school teachers, annihilating the collective wisdom and strength, and ultimately harming not only the individual, but the development of the whole school and the fundamental interests of all teachers and staff.
All in all, the development of the school has a great relationship with the school principal, and the emergence of a good principal will also benefit countless teachers and students in the school. Therefore, I hope that the principal of the school will be down-to-earth, look at educational theories more, hold fewer meetings, and care more about teachers, and strive to be an excellent principal who is respected and loved.
