Conditions of Permanent Residence

3.Have paid statutory pension insurance obligations or voluntary contributions for at least 48 months.

4.The work performed meets your eligibility requirements or is suitable for your qualifications.

5.Have sufficient knowledge of the German language (B1 level) and a basic knowledge of the legal and social order and living conditions in Germany (German Life Test).

6.There is plenty of living space for yourself and your family.

If you have completed your studies or vocational training in Germany, you need to apply for permanent residence

1.Have a residence permit to work as a skilled worker for at least two years.

2.The work performed meets your eligibility requirements or is suitable for your qualifications.

3.Have paid statutory pension insurance premiums for at least 24 months.

4.Have sufficient knowledge of the German language (B1 level) and a basic knowledge of the legal and social order and living conditions in Germany (German Life Test).

5.Proof that you have enough living space.

General application materials

1.Original and photocopy of valid passport.

2.A recent passport photograph.

3.Rental contract or proof of property.

4.Proof of language proficiency (or school degree certificate).

5.Proof of participation in the integration course.

6.Proof of salary income for the last three months.

7.Proof of pension insurance payment.
