On the evening of December 30, China's first immersive cultural tourism block "Wuling Sleepless City" built by Hubei Zhuxi was officially opened, and more than 50,000 tourists from all over the country enjoyed the Erhuang opera, tasted Zhuxi food, and watched the water show.
Zhuxi County was called Wuling in ancient times, from 202 B.C. to 636 A.D. Wuling County was abolished, and the name was changed several times in the middle, and the time span of Zhuxi called Wuling County reached more than 800 years. In the twelfth year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1476), the county seat built Xiguan Street along the Zhuxi River, which runs north-south, the street is 1910 meters long and 5 to 7 meters wide. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it has become the logistics center of Hubei, Shaanxi and Chongqing, an important commercial town, in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, here is a gathering of businessmen, logistics access, a prosperous scene. Handicraft workshops, Chinese medicine shops, local department stores, restaurants and inns, etc., have formed a commercial street with shops and shops. It was also a place where folk culture converged, and people with different accents from the north and south built theaters, academies, and guild halls here, and the voices were buzzing.

In recent years, Zhuxi County has seized the opportunities of urban renewal, consumption upgrading, and strengthening the county, relying on Xiguan Street to build Wuling Ancient Town, and create 6 themed and immersive industrial cluster blocks. As the first phase of the planning project of Wuling Ancient Town, Wuling Sleepless City has a total length of 361 meters, selects the areas of E and F, takes Erhuang Guoqu as the cultural soul, Zhuxi cuisine as the root of the industry, and night tour economy as the top-level logic, including three parts: food street (inner street), leisure pedestrian street (outer street), and Zhuxi River water show, as the tipping point for the development of cultural tourism and commerce in Huozhuxi.
Wuling Sleepless City takes "food" as the day, and has attracted seven major business formats, including theme catering, leisure and entertainment, special snacks, intangible cultural heritage, boutique retail, specialty supermarkets, and cultural stations, and has attracted 106 merchants to settle in, of which the theme catering investment area has reached 6,500 square meters. The settled merchants include KFC, Chaotianmen Hot Pot City and other big brands from first-tier cities, as well as local specialty restaurants represented by Zhuxi steaming pot and Zhuxi egg fried rice, among which the 13 Xishi Food City, located in the main block of Wuling Buye City, has 13 traditional delicacies in Zhuxi, such as Gege, lazy tofu, slag, sweet syrup, oil layer, sesame cake, etc., which fully display the local specialties of Zhuxi.
