CRI Green Label Plus (GLP, or Green Label+) is a trusted certification by the Carpet and Rug Institute for testing volatile organic compound emissions from carpet products. The test covers a variety of chemical substances, including formaldehyde, and ensures the dual protection of the product and the installation material, helping users to clearly understand the impact of the product on human health and indoor air quality.
1: Carpet products have passed the requirements of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) 01350 and are rigorously tested for 14 days in an independent laboratory for the emission levels of a series of chemical volatiles, including formaldehyde
2: Carpet products have passed the test for an additional 6 chemical emissions, and adhesives have passed the test for an additional 7 chemical emissions;
3: In order to maintain the Green Label+, our products are retested quarterly, semi-annually and annually for specific chemicals and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).
Products that receive the CRI Green Label+ set a higher standard for indoor air quality.
CRI Green Label+ is a voluntary industry testing program for carpet and adhesive products that sets the highest indoor air quality standards for the carpet industry. The American Carpet Association created Green Label Plus to test carpets and adhesives in independently certified laboratories to ensure products meet stringent low chemical emission standards. This means that our products meet the requirements of the LEED-certified Indoor Environment Quality Low-Emitting Materials Bonus and contribute points to the sub-score.
LEED Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, established and implemented by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is a widely used green building certification system around the world and an "international green universal language".
Architecture is one of the most important factors affecting human health and environmental sustainability. The purpose of LEED green building certification is to maximize the health and well-being of occupants by designing and constructing buildings in accordance with sustainability standards. Therefore, LEED certification is based on a comprehensive consideration of various aspects, such as: construction site, water and energy saving, products used in the building, etc.
LEED certified, not a product, is a building. Products with low VOC emissions contribute to LEED credit certification, increasing the LEED credit earned by buildings. Each building project applying for LEED certification needs to meet certain requirements and corresponding points, the higher the point value, the higher the rating, indicating that the building is more environmentally friendly. The company assists in applying for LEED testing and certification.
The company provides carpet CRI VOC emission and LEED VOC emission testing.
