The ancients would choose the easiest shortcut for the ancient road over the mountain, saving effort and time, and this ancient road passed halfway up the mountain, which was much easier than crossing the mountain pass. It's just that this section is on top of a cliff, so a stone railing was made here as a protective measure.

The Nanxi River Water Diversion Project was officially started in December 2007, which is a water conservancy project that diverts water from the Nanxi River to the Hongliu Plain of Yueqing City, the northern part of Dongtou County, Yuhuan Island and some areas of Yongjia. According to the planning and design, the daily water supply of the Nanxi River water diversion project can reach 200,000 tons. Combined with the construction of the reservoir on the south bank of the upper reaches of the Nanxi River, the water supply scope can be expanded to an average annual water supply of more than 320 million cubic meters. On July 13, 2011, the water supply to Yueqing began.
I remember that after going to Yunling to play, I went to Yandang Mountain in Yueqing, which was the time when the citizens of Yueqing were in a period of drought and water shortage, and they used the water of the Nanxi River, and the joy was overflowing.

In 1988, the gazetteer contains: Xiafulin Village, because it is located in the lower section of the upper floating forest, so it is named Xiafulin. 48 households with 230 people, 46 acres of cultivated land, 905 acres of mountains, producing rice and wheat, and concurrently engaged in cotton and shipping. The river bay at the entrance of the village is a good shelter for ships, and there is a small hydropower station built behind the village.

Xiyang Village. 1988 Gazetteer: Gumiaokou Village, 106 households, 448 people. 136 acres of cultivated land and 785 acres of mountains. The villagers are engaged in shipping. It is located at the confluence of Gumiao River and Nanxi River, and is the only water transport port in Gumiao Township. There are more than 70 motor ships, with an annual throughput of more than 20,000 tons. The cottages are distributed along the hillside of the port, sitting east and facing west, and are "Z" shaped.
