If you understand the values of "freedom" and "happiness", you can understand many seemingly strange behaviors of Fat Donglai. For example, as mentioned earlier, the store is closed for rest during the Spring Festival, and the money is not earned - because the New Year's work affects the freedom of the holiday and the happy mood, so I simply don't go to it. For example, "unhappy leave", employees do not need to give any reason, they don't want to go to work, unhappy, they can ask for leave, and the leader can not allow leave - this itself is "freedom to leave", "happiness first". For ordinary business entities, this is difficult to imagine, because it will bring a very large burden to the organization and management of the company, and even its negative impact will be applied to customers to some extent. Let's stand from the customer's point of view, you are a loyal customer of Fat Donglai, you don't have enough food to eat during the Chinese New Year, you want to go grocery shopping, and you find that Fat Donglai is closed. You have no choice but to go to other supermarkets to buy groceries. If you don't have another supermarket, you may have to stock up beforehand. - This sense of unfreedom is transferred to the customer. 
You are a loyal customer of Fat Donglai, today you are happy to go to the supermarket, but because the number of unhappy employees is a bit large, the supermarket is not full of manpower today, the goods are not on the list, and there is a long queue at the cashier, you only have two choices - endure these, or go to other supermarkets. Do you find that Fat Donglai's "willfulness" ultimately requires other supermarkets (or convenience stores, vegetable markets, etc.) to cover the back, or the boss pays to maintain a higher "staff redundancy", or the customers themselves have to bear a certain amount of inconvenience. 
That's the price of willfulness. Many of us may have heard of the "big countryside" in Europe and the United States, where supermarkets close after six o'clock, and everyone lives relatively scattered, and there are no snack bars and barbecue restaurants. From the perspective of labor, there is no need to work night shifts every day, and it is work-life balance to leave at the end of the day. As for why Fat Donglai couldn't get out of Henan, I didn't delve into the details. From a macro perspective, collectivist East Asia still tends to concentrate on the allocation of resources and engage in "agricultural warfare" that is considered important by the upper echelons at a uniform pace (as I once said, manufacturing is the "agriculture" of modern times, and science and technology are the "wars" of modern times). And this uniform pace naturally does not allow too much "freedom" and "happiness". If you want to hold a meeting in the national system, how can you allow you to go to work if you want to, and not go to work if you don't want to?You're free, so you'll never be able to get people together for a meetingIn other words, the spiritual core of Fat Donglai is naturally in conflict with Qindi. So, it's impossible to make it big. 
If it is not bigger, it is a small experimental field for Yu Donglai, because of its scarcity, it is precious, cherished by the masses, and protected. If you really want to make it bigger, many people may have to scold Fat Dong for their "inconvenience", and more people will slander Fat Donglai's higher unit price than other supermarkets.
