Mao Fumei was born in 1982, is a native of Yantou Village, Fenghua, Ningbo, his family is a well-known wealthy businessman in Yantou Village, and he has lived a prosperous life since he was a child.
This family background also makes her have the elegance and persistence of a traditional Chinese woman, and she also has small feet. In the previous context, she was absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, she and most of the women in the old era were born in the late Qing Dynasty in this period of great changes unseen in a thousand years. At this time, China abolished feudal etiquette, and most intellectuals hoped that they would be united with a woman in the new era, rather than a lady cultivated by a feudal family.
This also doomed Mao Fumei to a tragic end, and Chiang Kai-shek would divorce her.
Under the arrangement of the parents of the Chiang family and the Mao family, Mao Fumei and Chiang Kai-shek married in 1901. Before Chiang Kai-shek was admitted to the Zhejiang Military Academy, Mao Fumei and Chiang Kai-shek had a good time. At this time, Chiang Kai-shek did not have much contact with new things outside, and most of his knowledge came from the school, and there was no big gap between Mao Fumei and his knowledge.
But all this changed after Chiang Kai-shek came back from studying in Japan, and Chiang Kai-shek, who studied in Japan, was no longer the young man with strong blood, in Japan he saw things that China did not have, and the warblers and swallows around him were also as many as flowing water. Compared with the women outside, Mao Fumei, a woman who didn't know big characters and grew up under feudal etiquette, could no longer get into his eyes.
So in 1907, he accepted Yao Yicheng as a side room, she was graceful, fair-skinned, and had a tragic life experience, the man was not confused when he saw it, and Chiang Kai-shek naturally went deep into it.
Even if Yao Yicheng marries in, it does not affect Mao Fumei's status in the Jiang family at all, and she is still Chiang Kai-shek's original wife. All this is due to Chiang Kai-shek's mother Wang, every time Chiang Kai-shek had a dispute with Mao Fumei, it was also Wang who protected Mao Fumei, but with Wang's death in 1921, Chiang Ching-kuo was not around, and since then Mao Fumei has no one to rely on.
But her fate of being divorced has not changed, and Chiang Kai-shek chose to divorce Mao Fumei in order to marry Song Meiling and take the fast track of his political fate. Under the mediation of the family elders, Mao Fumei and Chiang Kai-shek reached an agreement to divorce and not leave home, and in this way, he lived with Chiang Kai-shek, Song Meiling and the United States. Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling went out to enter some high-class places such as politics and business, while Mao Fumei guarded Chiang Kai-shek's hometown and ancestral business in Fenghua, Ningbo.
Mao Fumei's contribution to Chiang Kai-shek was huge, giving birth to Chiang Kai-shek's only biological son, taking care of his mother-in-law Wang, taking care of everything at home, and helping him stabilize the rear. But her life was obviously difficult, she behaved properly, served her mother-in-law and husband honestly, and even gave birth to a son for the Jiang family.
According to traditional standards, no matter how you look at it, she is a virtuous and virtuous woman, and she can only blame that cannibalistic era, especially those women who abide by traditional etiquette and are abandoned by their husbands, Mao Fumei suffers deeply.
In 1937, when Chiang Ching-kuo returned to China with his wife and children after the easing of Sino-Soviet relations, it should have been the happiest time after her divorce, with children and grandchildren. When you wake up early in the morning, you can see your grandchildren, you can hug your grandchildren, ask them what they like to eat, and you can also pour out the grievances of your son who has been away for many years.
But such days did not last long, because at that time China was in a national crisis, as the son of Chiang Kai-shek, he would definitely not be able to stay with his mother in his hometown all the time, so Mao Fumei ended the short but beautiful last life of her life.
On December 12, 1939, in order to force Chiang Kai-shek to surrender, the Japanese bombed Chiang Kai-shek's hometown wildly, in order to make him surrender, Mao Fumei also died under the bombing of the Japanese at the age of 58.
This woman, who has paid all her life for the Jiang family, left. She is not alone, she is the representative of thousands of Chinese women of her generation.
