Recently, a physical geography science documentary "Qaidam: Farewell, Super Lake" caught my attention, which was jointly released by BYD Auto and the Planet Research Institute, guided by the newly released hybrid hard SUV formula Leopard Leopard 5, taking the audience to deeply understand the veil of the mysterious land of Qaidam.
It was also from the perspective of the equation Leopard Leopard 5 that I learned that Qaidam was once a super lake, more than 10 times the area of Qinghai Lake, the largest saltwater lake in China. With the movement of tectonic plates and the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Qaidam has also become a basin with abundant natural resources and magical beauty. In addition to traditional energy sources such as natural gas and coal, new energy sources such as photovoltaics, solar thermal, and wind power have also been gradually utilized with the development of science and technology.
As a leader in the new energy vehicle industry, BYD has also been practicing the concept of sustainable development, and as early as 2008, it put forward three green dreams: solar energy, energy storage power stations and electric vehicles. Up to now, BYD's total sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 6 million, and Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, Yangwang and Equation Leopard have fully realized the full coverage of low, medium and high-end product lines, with a total cumulative carbon emission of more than 44 million tons, accelerating the process of China's green and low-carbon transformation.
