After a few difficult years in Barcelona and Milan, Sergino Dest seems to have found his best form again after returning to the Netherlands. The USA national team international signed from Ajax in 2020 but never really made a difference at Barcelona and was loaned to AC Milan last season, where he struggled again.

With Xavi out of the picture, the right-back signed for PSV Eindhoven during the summer transfer window and underwent a fortune change in the Eredivisie. In fact, Dest has become a regular for PSV Eindhoven this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 19 appearances in all competitions. According to Sport, several clubs across Europe have taken an interest in him following Dest's impressive performances.

After a difficult year in Milan, the 23-year-old's value has dropped to €10 million. But his performances at PSV Eindhoven have lifted Dest's value back to €18 million. The U.S. national team star has shown versatility and adaptability as a predominantly left-back for Dutch clubs, attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

However, despite the club's interest, PSV Eindhoven have the upper hand when it comes to Dest's future. After all, they have inserted a €10 million purchase option into their loan deal with Barcelona, which they fully intend to trigger at the end of the season. At the time of the summer trade, Barça saw the purchase option as positive, but with Dest's performance improving, value rising and interest in him growing, the Catalans may feel they could get more out of him.
