In 1925, after being introduced by Li Dazhao and Luo Zhanglong, Shao Piaoping became a secret member of the Communist Party of China. The direct cause that led to Shao Piaoping's anger and death by Zhang Zuolin was that in November 1925, when Guo Songling raised 70,000 troops against Feng, Shao Piaoping actively participated in and openly supported Guo's choice to oppose Zhang.
Since Feng Yuxiang took charge of Shaanxi in 1921, he has received strong support from the Soviet Union and has become one of the five powerful local warlords who can influence the situation in Beiyang (Zhang Zuolin of the Feng lineage, Wu Peifu of the direct lineage, Duan Qirui of the Anhui line, Feng Yuxiang of the Northwest Dynasty, and Yan Xishan of the Jin Sui) who can influence the situation in Beiyang. It was also the target of the Comintern, the Guangzhou Nationalist, the National Revolutionary Army, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party at that time.
On October 20, 1924, Feng Yuxiang launched the "Beijing Coup", drove Emperor Puyi to be abolished, imprisoned Cao Kun, and sent a telegram to Sun Yat-sen to the north to negotiate peace. He also expressed his support for Sun Yat-sen's three major policies of "uniting with Russia, uniting with the Communist Party, and supporting peasants and workers", and actively participated in and supported the national revolution. During his stay in Beijing, Feng Yuxiang became acquainted with Shao Piaoping and Li Dazhao. After that, Shao Piaoping was hired as a senior adviser to Feng Yuxiang with a generous allowance. Li Dazhao introduced Feng Yuxiang to meet with Soviet Ambassador Garrahan to help Feng Ministry's ministry get further support from the Soviet Union.
In March 1925, Feng Yuxiang was expelled from Beijing by Duan Qirui and Zhang Zuolin, transferred to Zhangjiakou, and began to receive Soviet military aid and military advisory groups. In May 1925, after the "May Revolution", Feng Yuxiang actively supported and organized donations, and held a popular anti-imperialist demonstration meeting in Zhangjiakou, proposing to counter the imperialist policy by force. Subsequently, with the support of Li Dazhao, the general head of the Communist International and the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in the north, and others, he actively contacted and instigated Guo Songling, a general of the Feng department, to "strike a counterattack." During this period, Shao Piaoping's "Beijing Daily" published many articles in a row, criticizing Zhang Zuolin;His husband, Zhu Wenxiu, also secretly traveled back and forth between Beijing and Tianjin many times, acting as a messenger for Feng Yuxiang and Guo Songling.
