Every time I go to the National Museum to see the exhibition, I will be shocked by the exhibits, as the "big brother" of the museum industry, the National Museum is destined to be extraordinary every time. The latest exhibition "Colorful Vientiane - Grotto Art Immersive Experience" unveiled at the National Museum combines digital drawing, digital 3D mapping images and AI algorithm technology to create a 360-degree immersive light and shadow exhibition.

The exhibition is divided into three parts: immersive experience (main hall), art time and space experience area and interactive experience area.

Because the lotus flower is of great significance to Buddhism, it represents the holiness and beauty, purity and elegance, the main hall of this exhibition is designed with the blooming lotus flower as the main model, 360-degree holographic projection.

The artist combines the images of the five major grottoes of Kizil, Mogao Grottoes, Maijishan, Yungang and Longmen with digital technology, and the splendid Mogao Grottoes colored sculptures, murals, solemn stone carved Buddha statues, flowing light and shadow, brilliant colors, and every time the light and shadow are staggered, like the transformation of time and space, which is very visually impactful, and then matched with the moving **, an absolute audio-visual feast.

The time of each light and shadow exhibition is about 10 minutes, because it is a 360-degree holographic projection, and the picture is not the same from each angle, so it is recommended to watch it 3-5 times, and change the different ** position each time. When I watched it for the first time, I wished I could see the six roads with my eyes, it was really beautiful, and I was completely reluctant to blink, for fear of missing any moment.

The second part is the art time and space experience area of the five grottoes, and the first irregular porch you see is the classic murals taken from the Kizil Grottoes.

The first picture is taken from the roof of Cave 38 of the Kizil Caves, dating from the 4th-5th centuries AD. It is a celestial phase diagram, surrounded by a diamond-shaped lattice composition of the staggered arrangement of the Bunsen story and the karma story painting parts. With a relatively fixed layout and compositional pattern, the Qiuzi style of this period has gradually taken shape.

The second picture is taken from the left side of the doorway in front of the main chamber of Cave 17 of the Kizil Caves, dating from the 6th century. It shows the patron of the Guizi royal family. The face of the character is as round as the full moon, the facial features are close, and the neck is thicker, and the shape represents the aesthetic concept of the Qiuzi peopleThe third picture is taken from the inner wall of the right corridor of Cave 205 of Kizil Caves, dating from the 6th to 7th centuries. It is a story of the Buddha; The fourth picture is taken from the right wall of the main chamber of Cave 206 of the Kizil Caves, dating from about the 6th-7th centuries. This picture is one of the main themes of the Buddha's biography and is a representative of the Qiuzi murals of this period.

Walking through the porch, you can see a hexagonal prism space that is constantly changing like a kaleidoscope, and these constantly changing patterns are taken from the Mogao Grottoes' flying patterns, plant patterns, geometric patterns and other materials. Standing here is like stepping into the door of time and space, which is super suitable for taking photos and checking in, and the exhibitor also marked the best check-in position on the ground very intimately.

Opposite is the Maijishan Grottoes exhibition area, not only there are two groups of whispering replicas of Cave 121, and the super beautiful Ephesian in Cave 44, the Oriental Smiling Little Novice in Cave 133, and the digital image of the Standing Buddha in Cave 135.

With the change of the grotto image on the wall, different images such as lotus flowers will also appear on the ground, which is a bit of a lotus step by step.

The latter two parts are the Yungang Grottoes exhibition area and the Longmen Grottoes exhibition area, which are still combined with reproductions and images, showing the images of the seated Buddha in Cave 20 and the Feitian Lotus in Cave 10 of Yungang Grottoes, as well as the 20 statues in the sixth cave Manjushri and Longmen Grottoes inscribed the 20 products of Longmen.

Finally, there is the interactive experience area, where each visitor can choose a grotto pattern for free, fill it with crayons, and the staff will scan and upload the lustful works to the big screen. It was an experience that both adults and children enjoyed and felt like I was back in art class when I was in school.

There are also grotto-themed cultural and creative products in the experience area, refrigerator magnets, coasters, bookmarks are beautifully made, and there are 5 stamps that can be stamped on the exhibition ticket or your own stamp book.
