The Rise of China's Navy: Looking at human history from the Ming Dynasty to the present day, few countries have been able to dominate both land and sea. The Ming Dynasty may have been one of the few countries that could do both, but Zheng He's relatively limited economic influence in the West failed to achieve a sustainable development model, and in the end it could only be regarded as a brief period of glory in history.

However, China today is different, with both inward-looking and outward-looking economies, and it continues to develop. China has become a pole of the global economy, and its economic globalization process is inseparable from China as the locomotive. Driven by endogenous power, China's navy is set to become the world's most powerful maritime power.

In China's journey towards this ultimate goal, a large number of star equipment that are well-known at home and abroad have emerged, among which the 0.55 million ton drive is the main combat ship that makes the navies of the world look sideways.

The behemoth has achieved a series of world firsts: for the first time, it has achieved a high-level integrated RF design, the ship's energy management is based on the design of the medium-voltage DC integrated power system architecture, and it is the first in the world to be equipped with ultra-long-range anti-ship missiles capable of hypersonic strikes.

Compared with the "Dreadnought-class battleships" of the British Royal Navy more than 100 years ago, the 0.55 million ton drive can not only accompany the aircraft carrier formation, but also perform combat missions independently, so it is known as the "dreadnought" of the 21st century.

With the support of the world's leading marine equipment production capacity, the first batch of 8 0.55 million tons of large drives have completed the construction and sea trials at the fastest speed under the coordinated operation of the north and south double production lines, and all of them have been installed.

With the test of practical use, the Navy was very satisfied with the combat capability of the 0.55 million ton drive, so it quickly increased the order, and the second batch of 0.55 million tons of drive is already under construction. More than half of the ships have already passed the full training subject assessment. At least two ships under construction can be seen at the moment, while the final number of the second batch is still unknown.

The reason why the 0.55 million ton drive can be so successful is first of all due to its successful design concept - that is, according to the actual combat needs, with firepower output as the core, other systems are designed around giving full play to the advantages of firepower.

In China's journey towards this ultimate goal, a large number of star equipment that are well-known at home and abroad have emerged, among which the 0.55 million ton drive is the main combat ship that makes the navies of all countries around the world look at it.

The 0.55 million ton drive is equipped with 44 phased array radars, equipped with a vertical launch device with a caliber of 850 mm and a vertical launch depth of 9 meters, which can launch YJ-18 subsuper-two-speed anti-ship missiles and YJ-21 hypersonic anti-ship missiles. An integrated integrated radio frequency system on the ship is used to obtain information superiority and provide support for missile launches.

Successful live firing of YJ-18 and YJ-21 and test launch of a certain type of air-space defense missile were carried out. In contrast, the US military's DDG-1000 destroyers pursue stealth performance excessively, but fail to achieve the goal of improving situational awareness. The cost of this type of destroyer is overrun, and the AN SPY-4 phased array radar has not yet been installed.

In addition, the first missile test launches were carried out only after 4 years of service. Some people once ridiculed the Chinese Navy's excessively large vertical caliber, believing that it was due to the poor performance of the missile engine. In practice, however, a larger vertical caliber means a larger diameter, and a deeper vertical engine means that the missile's solid rocket engine can carry more charge, provide more thrust, and have a longer range.

The DDG-1000 destroyer USS Zumwalt was recently being refitted, removing the main gun system and housing 12 units of large-caliber vertical hair, designed to be armed with hypersonic anti-ship missiles. These new vertical hair diameters are expected to be between 800 and 900 mm, although the number is still somewhat small, but they have finally caught up with the large-diameter vertical hair of 0.55 million tons.

In the face of the successful design of the Type 055 destroyer, countries that claim to be Western naval powers have begun to recognize and accept the reality that China is leading the world naval trend, and have followed this design. At present, at least five countries plan to take an equipment route similar to the 0.55 million ton drive, including the US DDG (X) destroyers.

The US Navy suffered the defeat of destroyers of the DDG-1000 type and the miscarriage of the CG (X) cruiser project, but ultimately switched to practical destroyers of the DDG (X) type. The bow of this type of destroyer is very long, mainly to accommodate more bows.

Initially, it was planned to carry the smaller-caliber MK-41 Vertical Hair, with a total of 128 vertical hair units on the ship, but space was reserved for the replacement of "larger caliber vertical hair". The so-called "larger-caliber vertical hair" refers to the "honeycomb hypersonic missile launcher" currently being modified by the Zumwalt-class destroyer.

A cellular launcher refers to a launcher that can hold multiple missiles, similar to the disc-shaped vertical hair used on Type 052C destroyers to launch HHQ-9 series ship-to-air missiles. The large-caliber vertical hair, which is planned to be upgraded in the future, currently seems to be only suitable for hypersonic anti-ship missiles, and cannot carry other types of missiles.

This means that the multi-elastic co-frame hair drop advantage they once prided themselves on will no longer be present with this new hair drop. The tonnage of destroyers of the DDG (X) type is 1350,000 tons. It is not clear whether this data is a standard displacement or a full load displacement, but if it is the former, then the full load displacement is expected to reach 160,000 tons.

A larger hull means a larger energy reserve. The ship will use the larger AN SPY-6 phased array radar, which will not be able to achieve full phased array, although the level of integrated integrated RF technology remains at the same level as the DDG-1000. In contrast, Japan's "Aegis System Carrier" will build two ships according to the plan, and construction will start next year.

This type of ship has a length of 190 meters, a width of 25 meters and a standard displacement of 120,000 tons, and the full load displacement is expected to reach 1More than 50,000 tons, the hull size is equivalent to 1 of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers7 times.

The larger hull can carry more vertical hair, and the total number of vertical hair is expected to reach 128, and the vertical hair model is still the MK-41, which can carry the Standard-6 ship-to-air missile, the Standard-3 interceptor missile, the Tomahawk cruise missile and other types of missiles. After 2032, high-power lasers** will be deployed for terminal defense.

The whole ship adopts an inward-tilted low detectability design, and the application level of integrated integrated radio frequency technology is significantly improved compared with the Maya class and Atago. The overall configuration is similar to the American destroyers of the DDG (X) type. The Type 83 destroyer of the British company BAE is a warship equipped with the Aegis system and is still at the conceptual design stage.

According to the first concept drawings and limited open information, the ship has a full load displacement of more than 120,000 tons, with long-range regional air defense, medium-range air defense, short-range air defense, point air defense, interception of ballistic missiles, interception of hypersonic missiles, hypersonic anti-ship, long-range land attack and other combat functions.

The ship is equipped with 128 vertical hair units, including the MK-41 vertical hair with 48 units in the bow, the new large vertical hair with 16 units in the bow and the MK-41 vertical hair with 64 units in the amidships. In addition, the bow is equipped with an MK-45 62 x diameter 127 mm naval gun, while the other ship-based ** configurations are similar to those of the United States and Japan.

South Korea's KDDX-type destroyers have a rather interesting design and can be said to be a typical example of learning from the Xi strong.

Originally, this type of ship imitated the DDG-1000 destroyer, using the wave-piercing hull design with freeboard inward inclination, but now the design scheme is the traditional hull, and the integrated integrated radio frequency scheme can be said to be a complete copy of the 0.55 million ton drive, and even the broadside radar array, as well as the electronic equipment configuration on the top of the integrated integrated RF mast are highly consistent.

The destroyers of the South Korean Navy crossed the threshold of 10,000 tons many years ago, but the comprehensive combat capability of those 10,000-ton ships did not exceed that of Arleigh Burke-class destroyers. Nowadays, the KDDX destroyer will apply a large proportion of its domestic technology and equipment, abandoning the foreign technology route, and the tonnage of the KDDX made by the national ship will immediately shrink sharply to 9,000 tons.

The ship is 145 meters long, 20 meters wide and 12 meters deep5 meters, the number of vertical hairs is the same as our 7000-ton Type 052D destroyers, all 64 units.

The integrated integrated RF mast is equipped with a dual-band radar, of which the S-band radar is used for the detection, early warning and tracking of long-range air defense targets and ballistic missiles, and the X-band radar is used for short-range air defense, as well as sea surface and low-altitude target detection.

The most advanced destroyers currently owned by the Indian Navy are the Calcutta-class and Visakhapatnam-class destroyers, both of which have a displacement of less than 8,500 tons and a number of 48 units, and their firepower sustained capacity is not as good as that of the Type 052D destroyers. The Visakhapatnam class is currently the most advanced destroyer in the Indian Navy.

The Visakhapatnam-class destroyers have a displacement of 7400 tons, are equipped with 48 vertical firing units, and live fire is carried out by close defense guns. In addition, it has the ability to launch BrahMos anti-ship missiles.

Now, they are planning a major upgrade to the "P-18" 10,000-ton destroyer, which will be equipped with up to 144 vertical launch units, including 72 in the bow and 72 in the amidships. Another version is that 120 vertical launch units may be configured, of which 72 will be in the bow and 48 in the amidships.

In addition, eight BrahMos-2 hypersonic anti-ship missiles are installed on the hull in an inclined arrangement to improve the detection of low-altitude targets at sea surfaces at long distances. The P-18 also features integrated integrated radio frequency technology, and design work is expected to be completed next year.

Considering the current level of equipment and technology span of the Indian Navy, the successful delivery of this type of ship can only be after 2030 at the earliest. At that time, it is still unknown what direction the development direction of the armament of the world's navies will be.

It can be observed that the next-generation destroyers of the above-mentioned countries are all designed based on integrated integrated radio frequency technology, but none of them can exceed the integrated integrated radio frequency level of 0.55 million tons of large drives. In addition, they face a significant disadvantage, which is that they cannot use existing vertical launch units to adapt to new hypersonic missiles.

And we do not have this problem, not only the 05500000-ton drive can be equipped with the YJ-21, but even the Type 052D destroyer. All this is thanks to the foresight of the hot and cold co-frame large-caliber vertical launch unit, which is inseparable from the guidance of a scientific equipment development strategy. The 0.55 million ton drive has a powerful hot and cold co-frame vertical launch unit.

And while other countries are following the same path on the road of imitating the 0.55 million ton drive, the second batch of Type 055 destroyers is already on the way, and the new batch of products will be seen as soon as next year. At that time, perhaps the above-mentioned countries will also make corresponding improvements according to our new changes. This is leading, this is the power of leading.
