The experts at the meeting fully affirmed the great significance of the release of the latest research results of the Niuheliang site, and unanimously agreed that the judgment of listing the Niuheliang site as a representative site in the first stage of the ancient kingdom era is accurate, and it is an important breakthrough achievement of the Chinese civilization exploration project. The excavation of the first site of the Niuheliang site and the new archaeological discoveries provide an earlier sample for the study of the origin of Chinese civilization, which demonstrates the strong and orderly social organization management system of Hongshan culture and the planning, management and organization and implementation ability of large-scale projects, which is very important for understanding the social complexity process of Niuheliang and Hongshan culture, and will also provide new information for further understanding the development of Hongshan culture and its contribution to the formation and development of Chinese civilization.
Experts emphasized that Niuheliang Hongshan culture took the lead in completing the construction of the ritual system, and is the pioneer of many traditional ritual systems in China, creating a complex sacrificial system of "sacrificing to the heavens, ceremonial land, and the ancestors", which shows the standardization of sacrificial remains, the institutionalization of sacrificial rites, and the systematization of concepts and beliefs, which is the spiritual identity shared by the Chinese nation and reflects the unique characteristics of Chinese civilization.
