Recently, under the leadership of the prison police, Ding Qiang (pseudonym), a parole officer from Suzhou Prison, returned to prison after eight months. Strictly speaking, Ding Qiang is still serving his sentence, but this time he entered the prison, he did not wear a prison uniform.

In March this year, after a series of strict, transparent and open application and approval processes, Ding Qiang, a convict serving a sentence in Suzhou Prison, was finally approved for parole, and Ding Qiang returned to his hometown in Mengcheng, which he had been thinking about day and night.

Ding Qiang's sentence expires in 2025, and this parole allows him to return to his family and society two years early.

I'm 48 years old, and both of my parents are close to 90 years old. If I hadn't reformed properly and been released on parole, these two old men might not have been able to wait for me to be released from prison. When it comes to his parole, Ding Qiang's heart is always full of gratitude.

In September this year, the police of the Criminal Punishment Department of Suzhou Prison and the prosecutor of the Suzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate carried out an in-depth home visit to Ding Qiang's hometown, and it was that home visit that gave Ding Qiang the idea of returning to prison in his heart.

The police officers and prosecutors who visited my home encouraged me to be confident in life, and said that if necessary, they would communicate and coordinate with the relevant departments to help me start my own business and better integrate into society. Ding Qiang said.

Ding Qiang was extremely moved by the care and assistance of the police officers and prosecutors, so he took the initiative at that time to hope to return to prison again, and use his parole experience to show up and give positive guidance to the prisoners.

Back in prison, Ding Qiang first came to the prison where he was serving his sentence, walked into the prison where he once lived, and touched the bed he had slept on.

It felt like a dream! Ding Qiang said frankly that seeing these scenes, he was even more vigilant: he must cherish the hard-won parole opportunity and be a new person.

I came back this time to prove with my personal experience that as long as you don't give up, take the right path, and cooperate with the police officers in a down-to-earth manner, you will have the opportunity to get your own commutation and parole! Facing the criminals who used to serve sentences in the same prison area, Ding Qiang said excitedly.

Serving a prison sentence is a punishment for us, but we still have the opportunity to be a new person and create a better life, I hope you can be inspired by my experience, work hard to reform in prison, live an active life after being released from prison, and be a positive person, everything will be fine! In order to achieve the educational enlightenment of the whole prison, Ding Qiang also came to the Suzhou Prison Studio Center, and through the platform of the prison audio-visual education center, he told all the prisoners about his experience of actively reforming and obtaining parole, and encouraged them to reform in a down-to-earth manner and return to society as soon as possible.

Because of Ding Qiang's early parole, his parents' health is much better than before, and the family is back on track. After returning home on parole, Ding Qiang, with the assistance of ** and his family and friends, tried to engage in the cattle industry, and actively completed the role transformation from a convict to a qualified citizen of society through self-employment.

Since the beginning of this year, Suzhou Prison has continued to promote the steady development of parole work, and has continued to improve the quality and efficiency of parole case handling by strengthening communication, coordination, and work connection with the procuratorate, courts, judicial bureaus and other organs and departments, and jointly promoted the orderly development of parole work for convicts serving sentences.
