How often should you water the flowers

Here are the recommendations for watering the seasonal flowers:

1.Observe soil moisture:

Check the soil moisture in the growth container (or flower bed) of the moonflower. Insert your finger into the soil at least 2-3 cm deep, if it feels like the top layer of the soil is dry, it means that watering is needed.

2.Demand for the growing season:

Moonflowers need more water during the growing season**. In general, the period from spring to autumn is the growing season for moonflowers, which require more frequent watering.

3.Proper control of watering amount:

Make sure to fill in enough water each time you water to allow the water to penetrate the entire root area. Avoid shallow or overwatering.

After watering, observe the standing water, and if you find standing water at the bottom of the pot, pour out the excess water in time.

4.Ambient temperature and humidity:

When the ambient temperature is high or the air humidity is low, the moonflower will evaporate water more quickly and therefore need to be watered more frequently.

During the summer heat, it may be necessary to water once or even twice a day to ensure that the soil remains moderately moist.

5.Soil drainage:

Make sure the planting container or flower bed has enough drainage holes and use soil that is well aerated. Avoid water remaining in the root zone for too long and causing root rot.

6.Regular fertilization:

Regular fertilization helps provide the nutrients your plants need to grow. During the growing season, apply fertilizer suitable for the moonflowers once a month.

7.Observe the state of the plant:

Pay attention to the leaf and stem condition of the moonflower, wilted or shriveled leaves may indicate the need for intensive watering.

Gradually, learn to judge the water needs of plants by their appearance and feel.
