GH3170 superalloy process performance and requirements

GH3170 is a Ni-Cr-Co-based solid solution reinforced deformed superalloy. Its composition is characterized by the presence of W, Co and Cr, and trace amounts of lanthanum are added to strengthen the grain boundaries. The alloy has high strength and good creep resistance at 1000 degrees Celsius and good strength at 1100 -1200 degrees Celsius.

GH3170 (GH170) Physical and Mechanical Properties:

GH3170 Heat Treatment Guidelines:

Cold-rolled plate, hot-rolled plate: 1190-1240, air-cooled or furnace-cooled.

GH3170 melting temperature range.

GH3170 density: 934g/cm3

Process performance and requirements of GH3170;

1.The alloy has good hot-working plasticity. In the temperature range of 1050 1150, 80% of the upsetting is allowed without cracking, the forging temperature is 1130 1150, and the final forging temperature is not less than 950.

2.The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.

3.The plates can be connected by TIG welding and the weldability remains good in the solid solution state. After welding, stress is relieved and aging treatment is carried out.

4.The cutting performance of solid solution alloys is better than that of aging alloys.

GH3170 (GH170) Processing and Welding Performance:

GH3170 can be welded with spot welding, seam welding, and argon arc welding. The strength coefficient of welded joints is greater than 85%.

GH3170 alloy characteristics and application;

GH3170 alloy has excellent high-temperature strength, can maintain good microstructure stability and mechanical properties at high temperature, especially suitable for high-temperature stress and heavy load.

GH3170 alloy has excellent oxidation resistance, and can form a stable oxide protective film at high temperatures, preventing the material from reacting with oxygen and prolonging the service life of the alloy.

GH3170 alloy exhibits good creep resistance and can withstand continuous stress at high temperatures for a long time without plastic deformation.

GH3170 is commonly used in the manufacture of components in high-temperature, high-stress and corrosive environments such as aerospace, gas turbines, nuclear energy and petrochemical industries, such as turbine blades, nozzles, combustion chambers, high-temperature pipes and high-temperature equipment.
