Recently, NIO officially announced that it had received a strategic financing of US$2.2 billion (about 15 billion yuan) from CYVN, an investment institution in Abu Dhabi.

This is the second time that CYVN has invested in NIO this year. In July this year, CYVN completed a strategic investment of about US$1.1 billion (about 7.5 billion yuan) in NIO through a private placement of new shares and the transfer of old shares. The amount of the two investments has reached 3.3 billion US dollars (about 22.5 billion yuan).
In fact, NIO is not the first new energy vehicle company to cooperate with Middle Eastern capital. According to Shenzhen, the domestic mainstream new energy vehicle companies basically have a layout in the Middle East market, or have plans to deploy in the Middle East in the future.

In June, Saudi Arabia's investment ministry also signed a $5.6 billion agreement with Human Horizons to establish a joint venture to develop, manufacture and sell automobiles. Interestingly, there are so many countries where Chinese new energy vehicle companies go overseas, and Israel is the only developed country where Chinese new energy vehicles can rank first in sales. The "xenophobia" behavior of Europe and the United States has to a certain extent led to the obstruction of China's new energy vehicle companies from going overseas, which is obviously a behavior that "harms others and is not beneficial to themselves".
