At the beginning of the conference, Wu Xibin, general manager of Foton Motor, delivered a welcome speech. Wu Xibin said that the national dual carbon strategic action route is gradually clear, and vigorously developing the new energy vehicle industry has become an important starting point, and it is also the only way for China to become an automobile power. As a leading enterprise of domestic commercial vehicles, Foton Motor is an important implementer and promoter of the national dual carbon strategy. At the meeting, Wu Xibin once again emphasized that Foton Motor will take the new energy strategy as the company's first development strategy in 2023, and made it clear that by 2030, the proportion of new energy will exceed 50%, becoming a world-class new energy commercial vehicle company.
In terms of the exploration of low-carbon technology, Foton Motor has clarified the carbon reduction path and technology roadmap, and in terms of new energy products, Foton Motor will focus on pure electric, hydrogen fuel and hybrid technology routes to accelerate the layout of new energy vehicle products. In terms of low-carbon manufacturing, Foton Motor promotes distributed photovoltaic power generation, explores and researches energy storage technology, and realizes carbon reduction in the production chain through green process manufacturing and green steel technology application. Focus on carbon reduction black technology to build super low-carbon trucks
At the meeting, Lu Zhenghua, Vice President of Foton Motor and President of the General Engineering Research Institute, introduced Foton Motor's "double carbon" goal, "EPMES" dual carbon project and carbon reduction roadmap, and released a super low-carbon truck based on a new low-carbon material basalt fiber. Lu Zhenghua said that Foton Motor will achieve carbon peak in 2028, carbon neutrality in core factories in 2035, and carbon neutrality in the entire value chain in 2050. Subsequently, Lu Zhenghua officially unveiled the mystery of super low-carbon trucks. This "stone car" is built by Foton Motor based on the Foton light truck M4 platform, focusing on electrification, basalt, green steel, lightweight, and green manufacturing to achieve a life cycle carbon reduction of 267 tons, which is equivalent to the annual CO2 absorption of 1,460 trees.
Lu Zhenghua, Vice President of Foton Motor and President of the General Engineering Research Institute, delivered a speech on electrification, super low-carbon and self-developed liquid-cooled single-pack pack, electric drive axle technology and other three-electric technologies to achieve carbon reduction of 20 in the whole life cycle3 tons, with a carbon reduction ratio of 24%. In terms of materials, Foton Motor has innovatively used basalt materials and green steel materials. Basalt fiber is an inorganic environmentally friendly green fiber material, with high strength, electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and other characteristics, the product to achieve a weight reduction of 172kg, life cycle carbon reduction of 2040 kg, no three wastes in the production process, the product can be 100% natural degradation after discarding. In terms of green steel material technology, the carbon emissions of green steel in the smelting process can be reduced by 50%, and the product can achieve a carbon reduction of 105kg per vehicle. In terms of lightweight, Foton Super Low-carbon Truck is based on the working conditions of the tram, with "new materials, new structures, and new processes" as the three major technical starting points, systematically and positively carrying out product lightweight design and performance verification, and achieving a weight reduction of 120kg through the use of lightweight technologies such as hot forming, high-performance aluminum alloy, structural optimization design, and advanced connection. According to the whole life cycle (300,000km), the life cycle carbon reduction can be 1905kg. In terms of green manufacturing, Foton Motor focuses on the implementation of four carbon reduction measures, including equipment energy integration, improving the use of renewable energy, adopting green manufacturing processes and digital ** chain, and can achieve a comprehensive annual carbon reduction of 23 through systematic energy-saving and carbon reduction measures60,000 tons.
