On December 9, 2023, the 2023 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Badminton Exchange Event was successfully held in the Comprehensive Hall of Beijing Sport University. The event was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Sports Federation, and undertaken by the Secretariat of the Beijing Municipal Sports Federation and the Beijing Badminton Association, aiming to promote the exchange and cooperation of badminton in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and strengthen the popularization and promotion of badminton. Relevant leaders of the Beijing Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office and the Beijing Municipal Sports Federation attended the event, and the young players gathered together at the event site.
Before the start of the event, athletes Fan Qiuyue and Dong Weijie from Beijing Sport University and athletes Li Fengsheng and Chen Baiyuan from Taiwan had a friendly exhibition match.
After the exhibition match, the opening ceremony of this event began. Zhou Zhihui, Secretary General of Beijing Badminton Association, delivered a welcome speech, he expressed a warm welcome to all badminton fans from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, "It is an honor to gather in Beijing with many golfers, and I hope we can exchange feelings on this platform and improve our skills together", and hoped that the rich content of the event can make the athletes have fun and play well.
On behalf of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan players, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Beijing Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, Beijing Sports Bureau, Beijing Sports Federation and Beijing Badminton Association: "From the moment we got off the plane and entered Beijing, we felt like going home", the popularity of badminton in China is very high, and he also hopes to accumulate more experience through this opportunity, and continue to tell Chinese stories after going back, so that Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, Overseas Chinese have contributed to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Subsequently, relevant personnel from the Beijing Sports Federation and the Beijing Badminton Association presented souvenirs to the teams from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, respectively, and the opening ceremony of the 2023 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Badminton Exchange Event was successfully completed.
After the opening ceremony, the athletes began the Swiss system of undifferentiated doubles competition, and they dared to challenge themselves and fully demonstrated the Chinese sportsmanship. Through competitions and exchanges, the athletes not only improved their skills, but also made new friends, and the badminton exchanges between Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were also deepened. At the end of the event, the referees, coaches and players Xi the rules of the "7x7 Badminton Doubles Tournament" together, hoping to achieve better results in the next day's competition.
On December 10th, the 15th Beijing Sports Conference "Sports Moment Cup" Badminton Trials was successfully held in the Beijing Sports Moment Badminton Hall. Among them, Taiwan's Chiayi Jinyuan team won the runner-up in the seven-by-seven mixed team competition.
The success of this event benefited from the strong support of all units and the close cooperation of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan players, which not only provided a good platform for badminton exchanges around the world, but also injected new impetus into the popularization and development of badminton in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
