Chao News reporter Liu Qiaoyan correspondent Zhao Dongwu.
On December 16th, after a night of heavy snowfall, the top of Lin'an Qingliangfeng has been covered with thick snow, in the early morning of the cold wave and low temperature, the reporter saw the sika deer that appeared in a patch after the first snow in Hangzhou in the surveillance camera of the Qingliangfeng Administration in Changhua Town.
The staff of the Qingliangfeng Administration told reporters that most of the sika deer appear in the morning and dusk, and after hiding from the rain and snow all night, they come out in groups to feed. "The current cold wave does not have a great impact on sika deer, and wild animals also have a certain ability to adapt. The staff told reporters.
However, the reporter also called on everyone to watch the snow rationally. Although the wild sika deer are good, they can be seen from a distance, and they must not enter the reserve to disturb their work and rest.
News+]: Sika deer is an endemic deer in the East Asian monsoon region, and has been listed as a first-class protected wild animal in China due to the scarcity of wild population. Since ancient times, there have been sika deer distribution in South China in the Qingliangfeng Mountain area of Zhejiang, which has always attracted much attention. In order to more effectively protect the sika deer in South China, Zhejiang Province approved the establishment of a nature reserve in 1985, and established a conservation observatory and point in the central area of the sika deer activity in South China. Since 1998, when it was promoted to a national nature reserve, the protection and scientific research of sika deer in South China has been highly valued, in order to protect this species, the reserve has started in scientific research cooperation, habitat ecological restoration, germplasm resource protection, etc., and has made continuous efforts, the population of sika deer has increased from 80 before the establishment of the area to more than 300 at present, and the population has grown steadily.
Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve cooperated with China Jiliang University to carry out 6 times of sika deer release in South China. After six releases of the South China sika deer population, the wild population has been effectively replenished. The comprehensive monitoring of wild released individuals after wild release provides scientific data support for further strengthening the population recovery, protection and management of wild sika deer in the reserve.
