In the autumn and winter of 1920, with the backbone of the Xinmin Society as the core, the early organization of the Changsha Communist Party was secretly established. In view of the grim situation at that time, he adhered to the principle of secrecy of "everything must be kept secret" and "potential movements", and often engaged in Marxist propaganda activities in the name of mass organizations, cultural book societies, and Russian research associations.
In October 1921, according to the instructions of the party, ** and his comrades secretly established the Hunan branch of the Communist Party of China. They rented a bungalow at No. 22, Qingshuitang, outside Xiaowumen, on the outskirts of Changsha, as a secret organ of the branch, and specially installed a large mirror on the wall of the hall to observe the movement outside and ensure that once a dangerous situation occurs, it can be dealt with in time. ** He moved in with his wife Yang Kaihui in October and secretly carried out revolutionary work until he left Changsha.

In February 1925, ** returned to his hometown of Shaoshan with his wife and children. In June, the Shaoshan branch of the Communist Party of China was secretly established, codenamed "Pang Defu", and a bookstore was opened as the secret liaison organ of the branch. During this period, they have always adhered to the principle of secrecy, and every party member has his or her own code name, and they are not allowed to disclose their identity to any non-organization personnel without the consent of the party organization.

In 1927, Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Ching-wei launched counter-revolutionary coups one after another, and some leaders who held the core secrets of the party defected to the enemy. At the critical moment, he quickly adjusted the strategy of secrecy work, transferred the party organization to a secret state, and on August 7, 1927, an emergency meeting was held in Hankou, Hubei, known as the "87 Conference".
In order to ensure the absolute security and confidentiality of the meeting, the delegates were stationed in three groups in three days, some disguised as businessmen, some disguised as farmers, and secretly brought to the venue by traffic officers. The meeting place is separated from the restaurant, and there is a back door connecting the two places, which means that all enter through the back door. At that time, the 34-year-old *** attended the meeting as an alternate member and put forward the famous thesis that "power comes out of the barrel of a gun". Judging from the minutes of the meeting, the first to speak was ***, and the most speakers were ***, a total of 7 times.
The "Resolution on the Question of Party Organization" was adopted at the 87 th session, which demanded that the whole party quickly transfer all organizations and all their activities into a state of complete secrecy as soon as possible, that the identity of party members and the organs of party organizations be kept extremely secret, and that all party members must earnestly enforce the party's discipline of secrecy.
Subsequently, ** created the term "Bodhisattva Man: Yellow Crane Tower", and wrote a self-note when the word was published: "In 1927, on the eve of the defeat of the Great Revolution, the mood was desolate, and I didn't know what to do for a while, and it was the spring of that year. On August 7 of the summer, an emergency meeting of the party decided on armed struggle, and a way out was found. ”

The 87th Party Conference determined the general policy of the agrarian revolution and armed resistance against the Kuomintang reactionaries, and appointed *** as the first commissioner to lead the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the Hunan and Jiangxi borders.
On the evening of August 31, 1927, ** went from Changsha to Anyuan to deploy an uprising. Along the way, he disguised himself as a variety of identities to conceal his whereabouts. In Zhuzhou, he negotiated with the leaders of the local party organization and left disguised as a railway workerAfter holding a meeting in Zhangjiawan, Anyuan to arrange the uprising, he disguised himself as a buyer at the Anyuan Road Mine, wearing a white coat and trousers and rushed to Tonggu.

During this period, the company attached great importance to the secrecy of information in wartime, and most important orders and war reports were written in cipherland. Chen Mingyi, who participated in the uprising, recalled: **After arriving at Tonggu, he sent a person to deliver a letter. The man carried a bundle of bamboo pulp and straw paper produced in Hunan and Jiangxi, took out a piece of it, leached out the handwriting with the concealed method used for communication at that time, and told us to participate in the Autumn Harvest Rebellion.
