Zhang Xin, spokesman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, introduced on the 27th that the number and scale of Chinese enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions have grown rapidly this year, the demand for overseas exhibitions is strong, and the overseas exhibitions have shown a comprehensive recovery trend.

Since the beginning of this year, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the first and most important countries, and worked with relevant departments to conscientiously do a good job in the application and approval of economic exhibitions held abroad, and continuously increased the support for foreign trade enterprises to participate in various overseas exhibitions. Zhang Xin said at the monthly regular press conference of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade held on the same day.

From the perspective of overseas exhibition destinations, Asia, Western Europe and North America are important target markets for Chinese enterprises to participate in foreign exhibitions, and maintain a high attraction to Chinese enterprises. Germany and the United States are the top destinations for Chinese companies to participate in overseas exhibitions, followed by Russia, Japan and Brazil, with the above five countries accounting for nearly 50% of the exhibitors.

From the perspective of overseas exhibition industries, compared with 2019, the structure of the overseas exhibition industry category has changed, comprehensive, textile, and machinery are still the main industries for overseas exhibitions, and the proportion of health care, transportation and logistics, information and communication industries has increased.

From the perspective of overseas exhibition destinations, there will be a total of 78 overseas exhibition projects in 2023, more than half of which are concentrated in Asia, of which Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan have the largest number. The area, volume and actual results of the exhibition projects have been continuously improved, such as the exhibition area of 10,000 square meters of China Goods and Services (Belarus) Exhibition, and the exhibition area of 29,000 square meters of China (United Arab Emirates) ** Expo.

In the next step, CCPIT will increase exhibition management and services, hold more country exhibition briefings and situation analysis meetings, carry out a series of trainings on intellectual property rights and exhibition business, optimize the functions and content of the CCPIT exhibition public service network, and help enterprises go global, get orders and expand markets.
