On December 13, 2023, two brothers from a farmer who had purchased fake and inferior pesticides in Wafangdian City, Dalian, were detained by court order. You read that right, it's buying fake pesticides, not selling fake pesticides. The brothers, Wang Shengming and Wang Shengzhi, as well as their father Wang Yongfu, both grow cherries, and from 2020 to 2022, due to the purchase of fake and inferior pesticide agricultural materials from a local agricultural material company, the cherry trees basically died and were ruined. However, the money for buying fake pesticides had to be returned, and the company involved sued them, and the Wafangdian People's Court enforced it.
The lawyer ** entrusted by Wang's father and son consulted the presiding judge Wang Wei on the basis for detaining the two, and Judge Wang Wei replied that the two refused to declare their assets and refused to perform. However, the Wang father and son took the initiative to submit a property declaration, and the executive judge Wang Wei said that it was left alone. The cherry greenhouse of the Wang family and his son has long been seized and is waiting for auction. Based on the above facts, the Wang father and son did not fail to declare their assets, nor did they refuse to perform the judgment. The Wafangdian People's Court's judicial detention measures against the Wang brothers were improper and should be corrected.
There is still an inside story in this case. Farmers in a number of plantations in Dalian have also purchased and used the company's pesticides, and the leaves of cherry trees have turned yellow, fallen leaves, and then died in large areas.
In March 2023, Dalian City set up a special team to deal with the death of cherry trees, which organized some experts to go to the cherry orchard to collect 7 samples, detected some fungi, and then issued a judgment opinion, saying that the disease of the samples was caused by fungal infection. This judgment was favorable to the company involved, and the company involved took this judgment to sue the farmers. 
However, there are many problems with this expert group and the opinion

In the first expert group, at least two of them did not agree with the conclusion of fungal infection and thought that it was a drug hazard, so the working group kicked out these two experts and made another group of experts to draw another conclusion. 2. The research and judgment opinions of the special class for dealing with the death of cherry trees in Dalian City were actually concluded at the first meeting. 3. Several experts invited did not inquire about the farmers' medication on the spot, and did not check the drug purchase documents. 4. The judgment opinion only concludes on the sample of cherry trees, but not on the entire death event. 5. The notice document of the research and judgment opinion is not stamped with the official seal of any unit. 6. Hundreds of acres of cherry trees scattered in more than 10 locations died due to fungal infection, this kind of strange case has not only not appeared in China, but also in the world7. At least more than 10 products of the company involved, why not investigate and deal with fake and inferior pesticide agricultural materials that can be identified only by query and traceability labels?8. In fact, in July 2022, the farmer Yu conducted a reductive control experiment according to the actual drug use in 2021, and the results showed that the group of yellow leaves and defoliation that used the orange peel essential oil products of the company involved were serious (the defoliation rate was 9044%), while the group without pesticides had dark green leaves and grew normally. The process has been notarized.
