Today I finally finished watching the highly anticipated movie "Manslaughter 2", but I was a little disappointed with the long-awaited viewing experience. Originally, I wanted to reminisce about "Manslaughter 1", but in fact, the two are not the same series. The Douban score is also a little surprising, 57 points compared to 7 in "Manslaughter 1".5 points, it is indeed a bit of a drop. The film is directed by Dai Mo, with a luxurious lineup, starring Xiao Yang, Ren Dahua, Wen Yongshan and other powerful factions, I think it seems to be a little average in terms of overall narrative.

The story revolves around the medical shady scene that Lin Rilang (played by Xiao Yang) is involved in to save his son, and the theme focuses on father's love, through Lin Rilang's efforts to save his son, outlining a father's endless love and persistence. Although the story takes place in the context of the medical system, the expression of this theme is a little bland, lacking a deeper understanding of social issues. While the plot is intricate, it lacks appeal to the audience.

Regarding the characterization of the film, Lin Rilang played by Xiao Yang is impressive. He is a screenwriter who was forced by reality to choose to protect the child's heart by exposing the shady scenes through ** and the police. This sacrifice for the sake of the family allows the audience to empathize to a certain extent. On the other hand, the image of journalist Angel Lee has brought some reversals. At first, she seems to be just unscrupulous for the news, but as the plot develops, she becomes a figure who works for the truth. This relatively realistic depiction of the journalist's work also changes people's perception of her in the film.

In the film, the multifaceted nature of the police figure reveals the complexity of real-life social phenomena. As a policeman who adheres to justice and upholds his duties, Zhang Zhengyi has become the highlight of the film, which is in stark contrast to other policemen. These police officers ostensibly seek to be efficient, but in fact ignore the importance of justice, and their actions reflect the psychological imbalance that some police officers can have in real life when faced with stress and dilemma.

Dr. Dama's image shows the hardships of health care workers. He is not a villain, but for the sake of his patients, and even disagrees with his superiors because of this. To a certain extent, this reflects the pressure and difficulties faced by healthcare workers in their work. However, there are also some mishandling details in the film, such as how the police entered the hospital and why the mayor's son underwent surgery in this building. The unreasonableness of these details makes the audience wonder in the process of watching the movie.

Overall, Manslaughter 2 is relatively successful in presenting the theme of fatherhood, but it is slightly mediocre in terms of overall storytelling and social issues**. Viewers may lament that the emotional tension and depth of "Manslaughter 1" that they are looking forward to seeing are not fully displayed in the sequel. Perhaps, for viewers who like reasoning and suspense, I think "Manslaughter 1" or the Indian movie "Manslaughter" is more in line with the taste. I hope that there will be more excellent films in the future that can bring a richer viewing experience to the audience.
