【Editor's note】Shanxi is located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the eastern part of the Loess Plateau, known as the "North China Water Tower", an important barrier to protect the ecological security of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yellow River, and one of the main battlefields for the implementation of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
In order to tell the story of Shanxi's ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, the Shanxi Channel of CCTV officially launched the second season of the event on November 16 after launching the first season of the large-scale financial ** theme publicity activity "My Family Lives by the River" in 2022.
The second season revolves around the counties involved in Shanxi's "First-class Domain of Two Mountains and Seven Rivers", showing the great era with ordinary people, focusing on the rural revitalization picture of thriving industries, ecological livability, and affluent life, as well as the happy stories of the people who thrive because of the river, and interpreting the development concepts of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" and "harmonious coexistence between man and nature" from multiple perspectives.

On December 3, the news of the central radio network Yuncheng is that the ancient civilization is always accompanied by the big river. In the south of Lishan, the Yellow River flows into Yuanqu County from the Wengkou of Xia County, Shanxi, and rushes into the embrace of the Central Plains to the Nianpangou, and completely calms down in the Xiaolangdi Reservoir, and then bids farewell to Shanxi.
Shun cultivates the mountains, and the soup lives in Bocheng. The Boqing River, known as the "mother river" of Yuanqu, is named after the city of Bocheng, the "former capital of Shangtang". The abundant water resources not only nourish and precipitate the rich culture of Yuanqu, but also nurture the hard-working and simple people of Yuanqu.
Our county has good ecological conditions, high-quality water resources and unique climatic advantages, and the hazelnut trees on Lishan are good raw materials for planting shiitake mushrooms, which are very suitable for the development and growth of edible mushrooms, and have high yield, good quality and many high-quality products. In the mushroom greenhouse, Xi Juanjuan told reporters.
The surrounding mountains are like the song of the wall, so there is the song of the wall (photo by Ye Xiandou from the Central Broadcasting Network).
For tens of millions of years, this small city on the bank of the Yellow River, the mountains are towering, the water resources are particularly abundant, in addition to the Yellow River in the south, there are five first-class tributaries of the Yellow River from west to east, such as Qingshui River, Banjian River, Boqing River, Yunxi River and Xiyang River, all of which flow into the Yellow River from north to south.
The Boqing River in autumn, a river with blue waves, and splendid on both sides. On the tourist road along the river, standardized mushroom greenhouses are neatly distributed on both sides of the road, and the momentum of the vigorous development of the mushroom industry is in front of you.
A small mushroom can make a big industry. In recent years, shiitake mushrooms have become an agricultural characteristic industry in Yuanqu County and have begun to become popular in the county.

Xi Juanjuan introduced: "A mushroom stick from the fungus to the mushroom takes 8 months, can produce 4 mushrooms, after the last batch of mushroom sticks on the shelf, the next mushroom stick can be produced immediately, and so the previous batch of mushroom sticks is basically picked, the next batch of mushroom sticks can be put on the mushrooms, to achieve circular production." ”
As the largest cooperative for edible fungus cultivation in Yuanqu County, Juanjuan Planting Professional Cooperative is located on the bank of the Boqing River. Whenever talking about the relationship with shiitake mushrooms, Xi Juanjuan, the person in charge of the cooperative, bluntly said that it was purely "accidental".
Xi Juanjuan, who used to work in early childhood education, deals with parents who pick up and drop off their children the most, and she finds that most parents have nothing to do after sending their children to kindergarten. In her opinion, this is a waste of labor, so she has the idea of organizing parents to "do odd jobs and earn a small amount of money". "I also carefully investigated for a long time and found that mushroom cultivation is a labor-intensive industry, and at the same time, it is simple to operate, which is more suitable for students and parents to work. Xi Juanjuan said.
Xi Juanjuan's mushroom cultivation has also begun to move towards standardization, specialization and scale (Photo by Ye Xiandou from CCTV).
In 2014, Xi Juanjuan transferred 30 acres of land next to the kindergarten and began to try to grow shiitake mushrooms. In the following year, with the establishment of the Juanjuan Plantation Professional Cooperative, her mushroom cultivation began to move towards standardization, specialization and scale.
After 8 years of continuous efforts, now, Juanjuan planting professional cooperative has four bases, with a total area of more than 200 acres, a total investment of more than 4,000 yuan, the automatic production workshop of mushroom sticks can produce 4 million mushroom sticks per year, and the base cultivates 1.5 million mushrooms annually, with an output of 3 million catties. The Juanjuan Shiitake Mushroom Demonstration Garden founded by Xi Juanjuan has developed from the initial production of mushroom sticks to the whole industrial chain model of mushroom cultivation, deep processing, and brand operation.
There are more than 70 people in the base at ordinary times, nearly 200 people when the mushrooms are produced, and they work 8 hours a day. Xi Juanjuan said happily to reporters.

Yuanqu County is located in the hinterland of Zhongtiao Mountain, with a vast area of mountain forests, rich forestry resources, and mild climate, which provides unique conditions for the development of the mushroom industry.
Since 2022, Yuanqu County has taken the development of "special" and "excellent" agriculture as the fundamental way out of agriculture, planned to build a comprehensive service center for edible fungus industry and nine standardized edible fungus production parks along the Haoqing River Ecological Economic Belt, and introduced more than 10 industrial support measures, focusing on building a whole industrial chain integrating mushroom cultivation, mushroom stick production, mushroom planting, processing, and market sales, and striving to create a national edible fungus industry base. At the same time, guide farmers to vigorously develop the edible fungus courtyard economy, drive the edible fungus practitioners to reach more than 5,000 people, and increase the per capita income by 1More than 50,000 yuan.
Empower rural revitalization with industrial prosperity. While continuing to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connect with rural revitalization, Yuanqu County has given full play to the advantages of ecological resources, focusing on the creation of the "Six Treasures of Yuanqu" based on the original forest of Lishan and the characteristic agricultural products produced in the Yellow River reservoir area, including the black fungus of Wangxian Canyon, the "three treasures of the land" of the lion's mane mushroom in the primeval forest, and the "three treasures of water" of the big carp of the Yellow River, the small whitebait in the reservoir area, and the saddle fish of Lishan.
At the same time, the edible fungus industry has become an important industrial support for "beautiful mountain city and happy Yuanqu".
With a road under her feet and light in her heart, Xi Juanjuan is full of hope for the future: "Yuanqu is a magical land, with morel mushrooms deep in the mountains, lion's mane mushrooms in the primeval forest, and the big carp of the Yellow River, all of which are gifts from nature. The edible fungus industry has multiple advantages in Yuanqu, and the current industrial scale is also growing, and I believe that the future will be better and better. ”
