and to survive and thrive in the media business is the hardest, i should say, for the past two decades or so.
And, I can say that in the last 20 years or so, it has been the hardest to survive and thrive in the ** industry.
because when we decided to start up a private media company, there was literally no such a thing called a "media market" yet.
Because at the time when we decided to start a private ** company, there was no such thing as a "** market".
you had to negotiate with government-owned networks.
You have to communicate and negotiate with the state-run ** network.
you h**e to hire somebody who is moonlighting because they cannot or couldn't afford to resign from government networks.
You have to hire part-time workers to do it because they can't or can't afford to quit from the network.
so basically you had to struggle, you know, between funding, staffing, operation, and of course the **ship issue you h**e to deal with on the daily basis.
So basically you're in a state of struggling, you know, funding, people, operations, and of course, the vetting issues that you have to deal with on a daily basis.
so it was harsh.
So it was hard at the time.
if you only allow me to mention one thing to survive until now, i think it is passion.
If you were to say only one thing that had sustained me so far, I guess it would be passion.
it is the true passion for high-quality, original content, the true passion for communication between china and the world, the true passion about doing what you're doing.

you know, otherwise, you would h**e given that up long before.

because it's not the most profitable business and a lot of risks involved.
