On the 11th, it was reported that recently, a number of Chinese students in the UK have been scammed, and the fraud locations are concentrated in Kensington Gardens, Oxford Street, and the vicinity of Imperial College London. The fraud method is to be extorted by foreign men and women who claim to be "internationally renowned designers" in the name of asking for directions. After accosting the victim, the criminals falsely claimed that they were designers who had come to London to participate in the exhibition, and asked the other party to navigate them because of a malfunction of their mobile phones. After the victim provided assistance, the criminals expressed their gratitude, saying that the dismantled branded clothing was willing to be "disposed of at a low price" or given away, and took the opportunity to invite the victim to a nearby car to "see the goods", and then committed the fraud. Once the victim gets on the bus, other accomplices will join them to ask for assistance in transferring credit cards, buying or compensating for clothing (which can easily be damaged during the handover process), and even threatening personal safety to extort money from the victim. Chinese students in the UK are reminded to be wary of such scams, do not trust strangers or be cheap, do not enter strangers' vehicles or rooms, and try to get out as soon as possible in case of suspicious people and report to the police as appropriate.
