Recently, the kick-off meeting of the National Natural Science Commission of China for the Basic Science Center of Flexible Electronics was held in Xi'an. The project is led by Northwestern Polytechnical University and jointly undertaken by Nanjing University of Technology and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
Academician Hao Yue, director of the Information Science Department of the National Natural Science Commission, and other ten academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and well-known experts in related fields attended the meeting.
Song Baowei, President of Northwestern Polytechnical University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Academician Huang Wei, Chief Scientist of the Frontier Science Center for Flexible Electronics of Northwestern Polytechnical University, academic backbones of the project research unit, responsible comrades of relevant functional departments in the university, and relevant scholars in the field of flexible electronics attended the meeting. On behalf of the university, Song Baowei extended a warm welcome to all academicians, experts and representatives who came to the meeting. He said that the university attaches great importance to the construction and development of interdisciplinary flexible electronics, and the team of academician Huang Wei actively carries out cutting-edge exploration and innovative research around the basic science and key technical issues in the direction of organic flexible electronics, plastic flexible electronics, biological flexible electronics and printed flexible electronics. The school will integrate the relevant advantageous resources in the school to provide strong support and guarantee.
