Hospital sewage treatment equipment

Hospital sewage is a highly infectious and polluting waste that contains a large number of pathogenic microorganisms, toxic and harmful chemicals, and radioactive materials. These pollutants not only wreak havoc on the environment, but also threaten human health. Therefore, the treatment and discharge of hospital sewage must be carried out in strict accordance with national environmental protection standards.

At present, large hospitals usually set up sewage treatment stations to use professional equipment to centralize sewage treatment. However, small and medium-sized hospitals are often unable to build their own sewage treatment stations due to financial and scale constraints. As a result, hospital wastewater is discharged directly into the city's sewage system, which has a serious impact on the environment and the lives of surrounding residents.

In order to solve this problem, the integrated sewage treatment equipment came into being. This kind of equipment integrates pretreatment, physicochemical treatment, biochemical treatment and disinfection treatment in one system, which greatly simplifies the sewage treatment process. Biological contact oxidation method is the main treatment method of this equipment, by filling the filler and using the blower aeration, the sewage is fully in contact with the biofilm on the surface of the filler, and the sewage is purified under the biochemical action of the biofilm.

For example, a hospital's wastewater treatment project generates 350 tonnes of sewage per day, mainly from inpatient wards and living quarters. These effluents contain toxic and harmful substances such as acids, alkalis, suspended solids, BOD, COD, and animal and vegetable oils. After the treatment of the integrated sewage treatment equipment, these pollutants are effectively removed, and finally the standard discharge is achieved.

The integrated hospital wastewater treatment process mainly includes grid wells, regulating tanks, hydrolysis acidification tanks, contact oxidation tanks, sedimentation tanks, disinfection tanks and sludge thickening tanks. Each link has its own unique function, and together it completes the task of wastewater treatment and purification.

The function of the grid well is to intercept the larger debris and suspended solids in the sewage, and prevent these debris from clogging the pump and affecting the subsequent treatment process. The regulating tank plays the role of regulating the water quantity, water quality and sedimentation. The accident pool is integrated with the regulation pool, which can provide additional space to respond in the event of a problem.

Hydrolysis acidification tank is an efficient treatment unit, which greatly removes suspended solids or organic matter in sewage and improves the biodegradability of sewage by means of sedimentation, adsorption, biocohesion and biodegradation. The contact oxidation tank has the advantages of both activated sludge method and biofilm method, with the characteristics of high volumetric load and strong impact resistance, and the use of new combination filler as filler, it is easy to hang and remove the film and will not clog and pill.

The sedimentation tank is used for slurry separation, and the vertical flow sedimentation tank design is adopted. The disinfection tank is mainly used for disinfection, and is discharged into the municipal pipe network after adding sodium hypochlorite disinfectant. In order to achieve the treatment goal, the sewage should be fully mixed with the disinfectant to ensure that the sewage and the disinfectant are fully in contact with the reaction, and there will be no short flow and dead ends, so as to effectively kill pathogenic bacteria and viruses.

Finally, the remaining sludge enters the thickening tank for thickening, and the thickened sludge is then separated by a filter press for solid-liquid separation. After the completion of this series of processes, the hospital wastewater is successfully converted into water quality that meets the discharge standards, which not only protects the environment, but also ensures people's health and safety.
