On December 13, according to the Municipal Port and Shipping Center, the three-stage project of the No. 6 to No. 10 container terminal project in Meishan Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port (hereinafter referred to as the "Meishan Phase II Project") successfully passed the completion acceptance, marking the completion of the projectThe second phase of the Meishan project was fully completed。It is estimated that after the second phase of the Meishan project is put into operation, the Meishan port area will have an annual containerThe throughput will exceed 10 million TEUs。This means,Ningbo may become the only city in China and even in the world with double "10 million containers" throughput capacity terminals
It is understood that the No. 6 to No. 10 container terminals in Meishan Port Area undertake the task of transshipment and transportation of domestic and foreign trade materials in Zhejiang Province, the Yangtze River Delta and areas along the Yangtze River. The project will build two 200,000-ton and three 150,000-ton container berths. The main construction contents include wharves, approach bridges, land formation, foundation treatment, seawalls and revetments, rear road yard projects, production and living auxiliary buildings and corresponding supporting facilities. The total length of the quay shoreline is 2,150 meters, the design capacity is 4.3 million TEUs, and the total investment is about 7.8 billion yuan. 
The construction of the No. 6 to No. 10 container terminals in Meishan Port Area started in December 2015 and is divided into three construction phases. Among them, the first phase includes the construction of land areas such as two 200,000-ton container berths of No. 6 and No. 7 and the corresponding road yard at the rear, which has passed the completion acceptance in November 2020The second phase includes the construction of land areas such as two 150,000-ton container berths on No. 8 and No. 9 and the corresponding road yard at the rear, which has passed the completion acceptance in April 2022The third phase includes the No. 10 150,000-ton container berth and the corresponding land construction content in the rearIt marks that the second phase of the Meishan project has been fully completed
According to the plan, the Ningbo port area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port will be completedChuanshan Port Area, Meishan Port Area, Beilun Port AreaThree "10 million containers" container berth group。Among them, the Chuanshan Port Container Terminal Project has been completed and put into use in 2021, becoming the first "10 million containers" container berth group in Ningbo Zhoushan Port. At present, there are 335 production berths in Ningbo Port, including 36 berths of more than 100,000 tons. "The completion and operation of the second phase of the Meishan project will further enhance the operational capacity of Meishan Port and enhance the attractiveness of large container ships and international transit containers in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
