Global Education Holdings acquires the Australian Academy of Performing Arts

LONDON, Dec. 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Education Holdings, a UK-based education conglomerate, has acquired the Australian Academy of Performing Arts (APAC). This performing arts school is located in Brisbane and offers undergraduate programs in acting, filmmaking, singing and dancing, and more.

Since its inception in 1993, APAC has produced a number of successful television, theatre and film professionals, including actor Mirko Grillini (starring in The Chronicles of Narnia and The Gathering and Separation) and Australian stand-up comedian Mark McConville.

APAC is a registered tertiary education institution in Australia that is accredited by the Australian Higher Education Quality and Standards Authority (TEQSA). Formerly known as the Australian School of Arena Fighting (ASCS), the school is registered with the Commonwealth** Register of Colleges and Courses for Overseas Students.

With this acquisition, GEDU officially enters the Australian market and further expands its global footprint. APAC is the fourth brand to be acquired by GEDU Group in the past three months. Previously, the group had acquired MLA College, a British maritime school, École de Management Appliqué (EMA), a French management school, and Schiller International University in the United States, which has campuses in Tampa, Madrid, Heidelberg and Paris.
