Xu Yongxue (Shangqiu, Henan).
** is a great leader who grew up at the bottom of society, he has no experience of studying in France and Japan, nor does he have the aura of studying Xi at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow. A young man who came out of the ravine, not only was he not valued by the Third International, but on the contrary he was repeatedly ostracized by opportunism on the left and right.
**The first 14 years of the revolution, that is, from the founding of the Party in 1921 to the Zunyi Conference in January 1935, were the ups and downs of his life, and the road of growth was tortuous and difficult. During this period, he suffered four "misfortunes". But every time he was "unlucky", he repaid his faith, did not pull the mountain, and actively rose up.
At the end of 1924, the executive member of the National Party and the secretary of the National Bureau, who was ostracized by the right wing of the Kuomintang, returned to Shaoshan to "recuperate", thus missing the opportunity to participate in the Fourth National Congress of our party and be elected as a member. But after he returned to his hometown, he developed the backbone of the peasant movement, established the Shaoshan Party branch, and carried out the peasant movement vigorously.
In 1927, he led the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and because he did not implement the "leftist" plan to attack Changsha, he was dismissed as an alternate member of the Politburo, and when he was conveyed in Jinggangshan, he was announced to be expelled from the party. He could not be the secretary of the former party committee, so he became the division commander and continued to lead the revolutionary team to Jinggangshan, realizing the Jinggangshan division of "the division commander meets the army commander".
At the Seventh Party Congress of the Red Army in September 1929, his correct views were not understood and accepted by the majority of the people at that time because of the question of whether or not to implement the party's leadership over the Red Army, and he was "defeated as secretary of the former party committee." However, he waited for the "September Letter", and his correct thinking was affirmed, which in turn contributed to the resolution of the Gutian Conference, which has influenced to this day.
At the Ningdu Conference in October 1932, he was ostracized by Wang Ming and others, and lost the command of the Red Army for more than two years. However, he has always been concerned about the future and fate of the Red Army, and when the Red Army suffered a series of defeats and faced the critical moment of peril, he stepped forward and realized the great turning point of the Zunyi Conference, saving the party, saving the Red Army, and saving the Chinese revolution.
