On December 5, 2023, Professor Qin Ge, a teacher and researcher of Nanchang City, came to the Prokofiev Children's School of Bauman District, Moscow, and shared a lecture entitled "Continuing the Traditional Friendship between China and Russia through the Media" for the teachers and students of the school, expounding on the positive impact of the cultures of the two countries on Sino-Russian relations.

Founded in 1937, the Moscow Prokofiev Children's School is the capital's leading children's school and one of the most historical. Today, I would like to share with you part of Professor Qin Ge's speech during the exchange at the school.

1. It has played an irreplaceable role in the traditional friendship between China and Russia.

The fascinating Russian traditional peoples in my memory who convey the traditional friendship between China and Russia can be roughly divided into the following three categories:

1. The first category: deep and melancholy Russian folk songs show the heavy Russian national spirit.

For example: "Night Song", which was adapted by Tchaikovsky into the theme of the orchestral "Song of the Andante", as well as "Volga Boatman's Song", "Three Sets of Cars", "Evening on the outskirts of Moscow", etc.

2. The second category: unrestrained Russian dance music shows the Russian people's passionate yearning for life and the future.

For example: "Snowball Flower", "Marino's Song", "Cranberry Blossom", etc.

3. The third category: sonorous and powerful Russian battle songs show the indomitable spiritual will of the fighting nation.

For example: "Katyusha", "The Path", "Song of the Komsomol Members", etc.

There are many people in China who like me who like to sing these Russian songs and call the former Soviet Union the big brother as much as I do!

2. Profound Chinese tradition**.

In order to let the young generation of Russia have a deeper understanding of Chinese tradition and the Chinese people, today, under the leadership of Tu Zhimin, the head of the Cloud Vocal Orchestra, we have brought the teachers and students on the scene to the teachers and students who have been inherited in China for more than 2,000 years and have the most traditional Chinese characteristics of musical instruments - "Hulusi" and "Hulusi".

Let me share with the Russian children and adults on the scene: how to appreciate our gourd silk**?I'm going to give you two perspectives.

1. From the perspective of modulation.

Chinese tradition** is generally written in the national pentatonic tone. It is the following five tones: 1 2 3 5 6, and then these five tones are used as the main tones to form various tunes in the five tones of "Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng, and Yu".

2. From an auditory point of view.

The above-mentioned pentatonic ** through the performance of the traditional Chinese characteristic instrument - gourd silk, has a common auditory characteristic, that is: it will always show the world and people the atmosphere, beauty and peace! It's both euphemistic and sonorous! In fact, it not only expresses the good will of our Chinese nation for world peace and harmony, but also expresses the firm yearning for this good will.

Today, the young performers of the Cloud Vocal Orchestra performed the famous songs "Deep in the Bamboo Forest", "Half Life Snow", "Phoenix Tail Bamboo in the Moonlight", "Ode to Magnolia" and "Horse Racing", this wonderful group of traditional Chinese gourd silk ** truly embodies the atmosphere, beauty and peace, I hope to leave a good memory for the Russian children and adults on the scene, and I hope that you can understand and remember the kind and brave, yearning for peace, and peace-loving Chinese!
