Ways to keep tiles clean and shiny.

1. Use soapy water to mop the floor.

Make sure your mop is clean.

Mopping the floor with an old mop or rag can scratch the tiles, so a brand new, soft mop is needed. Make sure the mop is clean and free of fibers or lint, which may scratch the tiles.

Use soapy water.

Mix warm water and soap in a bucket or pool. Make sure the soap is completely dissolved. Soak the mop in soapy water and squeeze out the excess. Doing so ensures that the mop doesn't leave more stains while mopping the floor.

Scrub the floor. Start scrubbing the floor with a soapy mop. Make sure every place is scrubbed clean, but avoid water splashes. Continue scrubbing until the entire floor is clean.

Rinse the floor. Pour clean water into a bucket or sink and rinse the mop well. Then, wring out the moisture from the mop and scrub the floor again. This time, rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water, making sure all the soap has been rinsed off.

Wipe the floor dry. Once the floor is rinsed off, dry the floor with a clean, dry rag. This removes any residual moisture and allows the tiles to dry in a short period of time.

2. Use vinegar and olive oil to mop the floor.

Prepare vinegar and olive oil.

Mix vinegar and olive oil in a 1:1 ratio in a bowl. You can adjust the scale as needed, but this one usually works best.

Stir the mixture.

Stir the vinegar and olive oil mixture until it is homogeneous. Make sure there are no chunks of olive oil or vinegar.

Scrub the floor. Pour the mixture over an old rag or mop. Then start scrubbing the floor. This mixture can help remove stains and dirt while protecting the tiles from scratches.

Rinse the floor. Once the floor is scrubbed clean, rinse the floor with clean water. Make sure all vinegar and olive oil mixtures are rinsed off.

Wipe the floor dry. Finally, dry the floor with a clean, dry rag. This removes any residual moisture and allows the tiles to dry in a short period of time.

3. Use baking soda and white vinegar to mop the floor.

Prepare baking soda and white vinegar.

Mix the baking soda and white vinegar in a 1:1 ratio in a bowl. You can adjust the scale as needed, but this one usually works best.

Stir the mixture.

Stir in the baking soda and white vinegar mixture until it is homogeneous. Make sure there are no chunks of baking soda or white vinegar.

Scrub the floor. Pour the mixture over an old rag or mop. Then start scrubbing the floor. This mixture can help remove stains and grime while preventing mold growth.

Rinse the floor. Once the floor is scrubbed clean, rinse the floor with clean water. Make sure all baking soda and white vinegar mixtures are rinsed off. Otherwise, the residual mixture may cause the ground to become slimy. Depending on the situation, this step may need to be repeated until it is completely rinsed. Failure to do so will result in sticky floors, a risk of slipping, and even an unpleasant smell.
