Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the school's ideological and political education has been continuously strengthened in the process of improvement, and the effect of cultivating people with virtue has been significantly improved. However, from the perspective of systematic thinking, the integrity, systematization and coordination of ideological and political education in schools need to be improved. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China further proposed to "use the core values of socialism to cast the soul and educate people, improve the ideological and political work system, and promote the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools", and clarified the focus of deepening the reform of ideological and political education in schools in the future.

Cast the soul and educate people with the core values of socialism. Cultivating people with the core values of socialism has clarified the theme and main line of the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools. To integrate the ideological and political education and teaching of primary and secondary schools with the socialist core values, it is necessary to guide students to recognize, identify and practice the core socialist values step by step according to the law of student growth and the cognitive characteristics of students of different ages, internalize them in their hearts, externalize them in their actions, and integrate knowledge and action, so that they can actively promote social progress, national development and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation while striving to realize their personal values.

Improve the school's ideological and political work system. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a school ideological and political education system with vertical integration of primary and secondary schools, horizontal coordination of family and school, and integration of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, art and labor has been basically formed, showing a distinct trend of ecological development. However, the institutional mechanism of coordination needs to be more perfect, the connection between primary and secondary schools needs to be smoother, the construction of integrated connotation needs to be more in-depth, the school, family and social coordination should avoid formalization, the integration of ideological and political teachers and counselors needs to be strengthened, and the "five educations" of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, art and labor also need to be deeply integrated in order to form a more powerful joint force of education. Therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the concept of systems, constantly improve the system of ideological and political work, and lay out the lifeline of ideological and political work into all aspects of the school's work. It is necessary to strengthen the building of class collectives and give play to the ideological and political education function of class collectivesStrengthen ideological and political education in dormitories and open up the "last mile";Strengthen education and management of new issues and situations such as student bullying on campus.

Promote the connotation construction of the integration of ideological and political education in schools. On the basis of the integration of ideological and political courses in primary and secondary schools, the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to promote the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools. To promote the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools, we should focus on the following aspects:

The first is to focus on people and deepen the study of real people in ideological and political education. The first is the longitudinal and diachronic longitudinal research of the whole school period, which can be divided into the research of different school stages, different grades and different student groups at the same time, and the follow-up research of the whole school period that the same student group starts from the first grade of primary schoolThe second is a comparative study of the same period horizontally;The third is the study of the connection between different school sections. In addition, research should not only take care of the group but also the individual, and do a good job in the ideological and political education of the individual.

The second is to improve the scientific nature of the integrated construction of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools. In order to achieve the results of cultivating morality and cultivating people, it is necessary to follow the laws of ideological and political work, teaching and educating people, and the laws of student growth and development, among which the law of student growth and development is the internal basis for the integrated construction. Although the study of physiology, psychology and other disciplines divides it into various stages, and school education is divided into pre-school, primary, middle, and large school stages, but objectively people's physiological, psychological development and spiritual growth cannot be artificially separated, so the primary thing in education and teaching is to follow the objective law of student growth and development. The construction of ideological and political courses should be based on holistic and systematic thinking and in accordance with objective laws, so as to implement the moral education.

The third is the integration of disciplines, and the academic rationality of the integrated construction of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools should be consolidated. In the next 30 years, the socialist builders and people we have cultivated will be able to continue to complete the second centenary goal, and ideological and political education will shoulder the heavy responsibility. We should understand the integrated construction of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools from the political perspective of the "two overall situations" and the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country and the all-round promotion of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. It is necessary to conform to the trend and requirements of educational development and reform in the new era, to carry out interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary cross-integration research with a broad disciplinary vision, to take Marxist theory as the backbone, and actively learn from and integrate other theories and research methods of humanities and social sciences, such as education, psychology, political science, sociology, cultural studies, law, aesthetics, etc., so as to provide profound and solid academic support for the research on the integration of ideological and political education in primary and secondary schools.
