Explore more visual expressions of fonts
I see that there are a lot of excellent font design works shared on the Internet, all kinds of different and varied. From my point of view, most of the font design is to express the form of the font, such as the adjustment of the font structure, the change of strokes, the placement of visual effects, and so on. But it's rare to see ideas for font graphics. For a designer working in commercial design, creativity is at the heart of what he does. Blending graphic creativity with type design not only explores more visual expressions of typefaces, but also applies this design thinking to work.
I've been working in the design industry for 10 years, and font design is an area that I like to study, and I want to have more dimensions in font design. This time, I will share a process of font design to illustrate my understanding of font design.
Use "packaging" to express packaging design.
Because it is a two-character design, you can do some visual balance, such as properly aligning the horizontal strokes of the two characters.
There are two things to keep in mind about this process.
If you want to express font creativity, it's not enough, but if you want to express font effect, this bottom plate should be done.
If we want to express font ideas, we need to do a few more things, first of all, association.
At this time, it is necessary to make detailed adjustments to the designed font.
We're going to review the design process.
By sharing this process of typography and explaining my understanding of typography, there are some incompleteness, and you are welcome to point out that we will learn Xi together.
With the same design idea, let's change the word and make a font design case, and I won't describe the process anymore, which is consistent with the method shared above.
