In the third quarter of this year, the demand for civil aviation passenger transport was strong, and the whole industry completed a total of 1800 million person-times, a year-on-year increase of 1083%, the scale of passenger traffic in the industry hit a quarterly record high.
From the perspective of the recovery of airlines, in the third quarter of this year, the total profit of the three major airlines exceeded 12 billion yuan, and the collective achieved a turnaround. After three years of being hit hard by the pandemic, this news has undoubtedly boosted the confidence of China's air transport industry to accelerate its recovery. In addition, the seven major A-share listed airlines all achieved single-quarter profits in the third quarter of this year, which is the first time since the new crown epidemic.
Compared with domestic routes, although the reasons restricting the recovery of international routes are relatively more complex, international routes are also resuming in a steady and orderly manner. Liang Nan, director of the transportation department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said that international passenger flights have stabilized at more than 50% of pre-pandemic levels since late August.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past 10 years, the Belt and Road Initiative has made solid and substantial achievements, and has become a popular international public good and platform for international cooperation. Judging from the current recovery of China's international air transport market, the recovery of routes between China and countries along the "Belt and Road" is significantly better than the overall level of China's international routes. In the first half of this year, the proportion of passenger traffic on the "Air Silk Road" in China's international aviation market continued to increase, reaching 71%, an increase of 13 percentage points over the same period in 2019The cargo and mail volume of the "Air Silk Road" accounted for 26% of China's international air cargo market, an increase of 4 percentage points over the same period in 2019.
With the joint efforts of all parties, the "hard connection" of civil aviation infrastructure between China and countries along the "Belt and Road" has achieved remarkable results, the "soft connection" of rules and standards has been steadily promoted, and the "heart-to-heart connection" of people-to-people exchanges has become closer. China has signed bilateral air transport agreements with 104 countries and established bilateral airworthiness relations with 28 countries.

In recent years, the problem of low bridge rate of flights near the stands of some large airports in China has become prominent, which has greatly affected the convenience of air passengers. In order to respond to the voice of passengers and improve the satisfaction of air passengers, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has made a special rectification this year to "improve the near-stand docking rate of flights at airports above 10 million levels". As of the end of August, 24 of the country's 41 10-million-level airports had increased by more than 3 percentage points and 16 had increased by more than 5 percentage points, with an average bridge rate of 7982% to 8323%, with a cumulative increase of 150,000 bridge-based flights.
In order to further improve the travel experience of first-time passengers, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued the "Guiding Opinions on Service Facilitation for First-time Passengers", which refines specific work measures in terms of service objects, service processes, service products, service standards, technical support, etc., so that first-time passengers are no longer in a hurry.
In terms of flight management, flight interception times at some airports have been further shortened this year. Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport have successively adjusted the cut-off time of domestic flights, from 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight to 40 minutes. An aircraft from the blue sky, safe landing, completion of the station to take off again, during which involves the removal of wheel blocks, bridges, maintenance release, boarding, closing the cabin door, take-off, landing, upper wheel blocks and other dozens of support nodes, need more than a dozen on-site units to provide support. The shortening of the cut-off time of domestic flights means that these support nodes must be connected "as smoothly as silk".
This year, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has also issued the Measures for the Management of Domestic Through Flights, and continues to promote the construction of an air transport network system of "trunk and branch connections and full network connection". From Lhasa to Chengdu and then from Chengdu to Beijing, two flights, one check-in, and baggage hanging, it only takes 70 minutes to transfer efficiently at Tianfu Airport. On July 25, China's first transit through express line out of Tibet, "Lhasa Gonggar-Chengdu Tianfu-Beijing Capital" route, completed the first through flight. On the premise of not increasing resource investment and pressure on safe operation guarantee, this "trunk branch and full network" transit express line effectively improves the accessibility of the first-class route network and provides more travel options for the people in Tibetan areas.
