According to Xinhuanet Haikou, December 10, from December 7 to 8, the 24th National Leather Book Annual Conference (2023) was held in Danzhou, Hainan. With the theme of "Deepening the New Era and New Mission of the Research and Interpretation of the Modern Civilization of the Chinese Nation", the annual conference was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and organized by the Social Sciences Academic Press and the Hainan Provincial Federation of Social Sciences (Hainan Academy of Social Sciences). More than 400 experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Hainan Province, the Publishing Bureau of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences, local academies of social sciences, universities, think tanks and other units, as well as the editor-in-chief of the leather book and representatives of various leather book research groups across the country attended the meeting.
The award ceremony of the 14th "Excellent Book Award" was held at this annual meeting, and the research results edited by Professor Wang Huiyao and Professor Miao Lu "Blue Book of International Talents: Report on the Development of Study Abroad in China (2022)" No8", won the second prize of the 14th "Excellent Book Award".
Started in 2009, the award is a major national award sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and undertaken by the Social Sciences Academic Press. The 14th Excellent Book Award for Leather Books will award the 2022 edition of leather books, and after strict preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation and final evaluation, 54 excellent leather books (including 16 first prizes, 18 second prizes, and 20 third prizes) and 79 excellent leather book reports will be finally selected among the 459 leather books and 917 leather book reports shortlisted for participation, and will be announced and awarded at the 24th National Leather Book Annual Conference (2023) held in Danzhou, Hainan Province from December 7 to 8.
