As the name suggests, "light white seed" refers to a seed jade with a smooth surface and no other skin color. In the industry, when we mention "light white seeds", we usually refer to Xinjiang Hetian jade seeds.
On the whole, the surface of Xinjiang Hetian jade seeds may have a variety of natural skin colors, or there may be no natural skin colors at all. The former is known as "skin pigment" in the industry, and the latter is called "light white seed". Although they are both Hetian jade seeds, they are distinguished by the fact that one has a skin color and the other does not.
It should be noted that although the surface of the "light white seed" does not have any natural skin color, it must have trachoma hemp pits, which is what we often call "sweat pores". In fact, from the perspective of the generation environment, sweat pores are not only a unique feature of seed jade, but also a common feature of all Xinjiang Hetian seed jade.
In general, as long as it is Xinjiang Hetian jade seed material, there will definitely be "sweat pores". However, not all Xinjiang Hetian jade seeds have a natural skin color. For Xinjiang Hetian jade seeds, the natural skin color may or may not be there, but the "sweat pores" must exist.
There is also a misunderstanding that novices often fall into is that because the surface of "light white seeds" does not have any natural skin color, and many Hetian jade is white jade, some beginner Hetian jade collectors will mistakenly understand "light white seeds" as "white leather".
In fact, "white seeds" and "white leather" are two completely different concepts. "Light white seeds" refer to seed jade without any natural skin color, and most of the "white leather" is not white on the surface, but often has a natural reddish-yellow skin color.
