But in fact, when the 10th-generation Sonata was completed in China, Beijing Hyundai received a lot of praise, but the high appearance and praise did not exchange for the recovery of actual sales. Now, the 11th-generation Sonata was unveiled at last month's Guangzhou Auto Show, and once again responded to the challenge of China's own car manufacturing with its appearance.
The all-new Sonata has once again been reinvented, including the light clusters, grille, air deflector, and all the surrounding designs. After the cancellation of the long eyebrow daytime running light design, the concept of light strip was implemented, and used in the front LED daytime running lights and rear taillights, and the high and low beams were independently placed at the top of the deflector trough. This hexagonal grille is more like a hexagonal warrior, sharp and with a small diffuser downward, it is neither as large as the longitudinal width of the Audi, nor too rounded like the BYD, and with the pronounced multi-spoke three-dimensional lines in the engine compartment, it will have a very full coupe feeling.
In terms of dimensions, the Sonata maintains roughly the same proportions as the current model, with a length, width and height of 4955mm, 1860mm, 1445mm, and a wheelbase of 2890mm, and even a shortening of -10mm and -15mm in length and wheelbase, respectively.
At the rear, the N Line Sport package gives it an exaggerated bumper reshape, and the large diffuser and quad exhaust pipe pattern on both sides reinforce its already cool design philosophy. Of course, in addition to the tail lights that we mentioned at the beginning, they also introduced the H-shaped style that we saw on the new generation of Tucson and other models.
Entering the cockpit, the special-shaped steering wheel is commendable, it will be more suitable for the driver's direct grasp, and the central control disposal, like the dashboard with fingerprint recognition, and the digital instrument cluster coherent 12The 3-inch curved touch screen and the air conditioning control panel with digital display touch control all remind us of overseas Hyundai that has been replaced in batches.
In terms of configuration, the Sonata gets a 12-bay Bose audio system, a head-up display (HUD) and a new infotainment system that supports CarPlay phone connectivity. In assisted driving, HSS will help the vehicle strengthen active safety, add blind spot collision assist systems, and so on. In terms of comfort, in addition to the faux leather seats, electric front adjustment, the Sonata also gets heated and ventilated front, leather suede blend seats, and manual sun blinds in the rear.
In terms of core power, the Sonata will continue to offer the same powertrain as the current model, including the 1.2 with a maximum power of 125kW5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 184kW 2The 0-liter turbocharged engine will be mated to a seven-speed dry DSG dual-clutch gearbox, while the latter will be supported by an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Due to the introduction of the Sonata in the domestic market, it has completed a number of important mid-term facelifts and named it an iterative product, which makes the 11th generation we see now still in the 8th generation mid-term facelift overseas.
