Looking back suddenly, the years flew by, and the self who once walked into Ali with high spirits is now helpless to leave in the wave of layoffs. I used to be in all directions, with the dream of finding a stable job in a major Internet company. However, when I walked out of Ali at the moment of resignation, I was greeted by a ruthless bloodbath from reality.
Ali brought me not only the glory of the past, but also the illusion of "having worked at Alibaba" – I thought I could easily find a decent job in a foreign company. When I looked at my trembling signature on the resignation letter, I knew everything was different.
I joined a small internet company, only to find that the work here is no less intense than Alibaba's. I was faced with a heavier task, but I had to get forty percent less than Ali's salary in exchange. I thought that a small company could provide me with a more humane working environment, but the reality gave me a blow in the face – the company made me work overtime until the wee hours of the morning, and often had to work overtime on weekends. I couldn't help but reflect on what exactly my career was heading in.
In fact, I am not alone, in this wave of layoffs, many Internet practitioners like me have experienced the transformation from large factories to small companies. Many of us choose to return to our hometowns to start businesses, and some of us change careers to take public exams and go our separate ways. There are several old colleagues who are ready to emigrate to start a new life. The trajectory of my life is still undecided, but at least I have learned one thing: never be self-righteous because of past achievements.
After all, times are changing, the environment is changing, and so are we. The once glittering factory may one day be in trouble;A seemingly ordinary small company may be the next unicorn. We all need to be humble, humble, and eager to learn in order to stand firm in this rapidly changing era.
In fact, I am also reflecting on my original intention of choosing Ali. At first, I wanted to find the meaning and value of my job here and realize my career dream. Now I understand that dreams are dreams after all, and reality is never perfect. It is important that we learn to find meaning in reality and move on.
As an old friend of mine said, "Each of us is creating value and making the world a better place." This is the greatest meaning in the lives of ordinary people. "Yes, maybe I can't change the world, but I can make other people's lives a little happier through my work, and that's enough.
There is always a distance between reality and ideals, but we can adapt by adjusting our mindset. Learning to appreciate the work in front of us and absorbing new knowledge and experience is also a valuable accumulation for us. Even if the scenery on both sides is no longer gorgeous, please continue to embark on a new journey with a positive attitude.
The road is long, I will go up and down and seek. What is lost is nothing more than a false name, and what is gained will be an upgrade in life. Today's disappointment is just another starting point to reach new heights, and there is still a long way to go, so keep going!Autumn and Winter Check-in Challenge
